This time she's accused of stealing material for Congressional testimony she gave in 2007.

This, like the earlier charges, probably won't amount to the kind of scandal that knocked Joe Biden out of the race in '88, but it comes at a really bad time for Harris. She's lost her thank-God-she's-not-Joe momentum and Trump is starting to inch away in every battleground state. The integrity issue this represents is not the problem for her given her opponent. But stories like this give fuel to the argument that she's an intellectual lightweight with no real ideas of her own.

I think things are slipping away from Harris, and her campaign needs to find a way to mix things up. I think their recent media blitz was an attempt at that, but it's not working and, arguably, her performances may have made things worse.

IMO, this race can still go either way, but it may be approaching "Hail Mary time" for the Harris campaign.

Another plagiarism accusation against Harris

Another OP that does absolutely nothing to absolve Trump of his many crimes, nor is exculpatory in any way, shape or form, of anything he has said or tweeted since LOSING the election in 2020.

I am voting for Harris/Walz because I like their positive vision for a brighter America and I also recognize that they are willing to put in the hard work to see it happen. The alternative is a pro-adultery, pro-cat-eating, pro-human-slavery religious personality cult whose idea of sound public policy is making up names to call Kamala Harris.

You really think you are onto a boffo breaking news item here with this plagiarism narrative huh. Think again.

So Logli has actually brought charges?

Why isn't there a link to his actual report? Just some block meme?

Convenient that there's so little time to check actual reports and testimony before the election. ;) There's only enough time for some copy and pasted scrap to be posted on "The Federalist" and circulate from there as if it's fact.

You want fries with that?

Or much worse, spending TEN MINUTES during a campaign speech to expound on the size of Arnold Palmer's penis. It's genuinely hard to imagine anyone worse equipped to occupy the Oval Office.

What do Trump's crimes have to do with this thread about Harris's plagiarism? If you're going to rely on whataboutism, could you at least discuss Trump's plagiarism?

It's because the only reason you're reading this is because Trump and Harris are competing in the 2024 presidential election.
If you want to look at some random claims right at election time, about plagiarism, OK, sounds silly to me, but let's look.

Let's assume it's 100% true.

Harris - uses an internet source (without citation?) for her testimony

vs

Trump - Serous felony convictions related to his campaign.
Awaiting trial for more serious felony charges related to his attempt to steal the 2020 election via the fake elector plot.
Impeachment 1 - abused the power of the presidency in extorting Zelinski for help in the election against Biden
Impeachemtn2 - used 1/6 capitol attack as part of his fake elector plot, to attempt to steal the 2020 election. Sat idle while cops were beaten, someone died, congress fled for their lives.

So you tell me nota bene, who is being serious here, in attempting to levy this against Harris this election cycle.

If they were anywhere even in the same ballpark, you'd have a point. I don't' see it personally.

You tell me who the sane people are--besides me, I mean--who think this is all absolutely ridiculous because it is. As I've said, what a first-world problem whether someone worked at a McDonald's is.

Harris is accused of the crime of plagiarism.

Trump is a convicted felon. He faces two criminal trials. One is for attempting to overthrow the elected government. The other is for his theft of classified documents crucial to our national security.

Now that is hilarious. We needed that.:)

Betcha this guy voted for Trump. Any takers?

Jan. 6 riot conviction of ‘Cowboys for Trump’ founder is upheld in precedent-setting case

Nobody will even notice this "really at a bad time for Harris" claim of plagiarism.......just as I doubt anybody will give a rats as about or care about Trump closing a McDonalds for a publicity stunt.

Neither has anything to do with anything.

What matters are what candidates say and do that relate to the policies each candidate is proposing and the character they exhibit. Now that Trump has gone haywire about election integrity since 2016 with no basis I guess we are stuck with that as relevant as well.

All the rest of this crap isn't worth the keystrokes to post it.

Uh ... no. Not at all. Is this your first presidential election? I ask because you're acting like it is. With two weeks to go until Election Day, there can be nothing said about either candidate that does not invoke comparisons with the other. Get it? Write about Trump - Harris is compared. Write about Harris - Trump is compared. No comment about either is free to stand alone. You can't attack Harris without defending Trump - or vice versa. Anything that threatens to diminish one, elevates the other.

It's a zero sum game.

You get this: The thread topic is Harris plagiarism. I'm sticking to the topic and suggest that you do too.

Or kick it up a notch to something more substantial on the documentation side like falsifying business records.
🙂

That said, if this is accurate, it's beyond me why people in the Information Age do these kind of stupid things.

Who is breathing life into the McDonalds flap?

I am concerned about plagiarism, however, if that is the worst of her personal deficiencies and it certainly appears to be since all the other stuff MAGA makes up are lies, then it is easy to forgive when the alternative are a group of adulterers, bigots, racists, liars, grifters and con-men. (Heck, Trump is all of those things at once!)

But definitely don’t vote for Harris because she plagiarized while voting for an adulterous, bigoted, racist, lying, grifter, and con-man.

I will vote for whom I please, thank you. And plagiarism isn't a little personal deficiency, it's theft of the most heinous kind, the theft of someone else's idea and work product.

Do go on thinking that I'm voting for Trump, though, just so I can have another laugh.

Hard to get worked up about an alleged plagiarism that nobody cared about enough to bring lawsuit over.

Yet the logical conclusion of all this outrage is that there are voters out there that will "not vote for an alleged plagiarist" but will vote for a man found liable for sexual assault and defamation and 34 criminal counts.

Makes no sense WHAT SO EVER.

This just solidifies her need for a script and teleprompter. She is not capable of doing her own speechwriting, or speaking off the cuff based upon the strength of her knowledge, she has little. Instead she needs speech writers and handlers to guide her through even the most simple public appearance. The book on her is she is not very intelligent and is lazy. This would appear to be supported by someone who plagiarizes someone else's work.

Well, we all know that this is a monumentally steaming heap of bullshit, because Harris was a very successful prosecutor, a job that simply cannot be done without sufficient command of every aspect of a case, including the ability to extemporaneously respond to any and all statements, by every party, whether under direct or cross examination.
