This guy is responsible for the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre in which 11 Israeli athletes died. He attacked innocent civilians and committed an act of terrorism. In other words, he is a despicable individual.
So as a person who in general dislikes many of the things Israel is doing, how can Abbas be respected by people who sympathize with him, and who support him, or at least give him a degree of respect as a leader by the Israeli side who want a solution, when he attends the funerals of terrorists.
Disgusting, outrageous.
This is not the type of man we want to be at the forefront of peace.
BBC News - Last Palestinian linked to 1972 Munich massacre dies
The man has been accused of being part of Black September, although none of these allegations have been proven and confirmed. To say he is the person responsible for what happened in Munich in 1972 is devoid of accuracy. Most of those who were directly involved in the massacre were killed in reprisal attacks by Israel's Mossad. The reason he was given a ceremony was because he was a government official, not because he may or may not have been involved in the Munich massacre.
Mahmoud Abbas donated money to Black September (Munich Olympics massacre), but has always claimed that he had no knowledge of how the money would be utilized.
You don't have to support or agree with someone in order to attend their funeral.
Hmm, maybe he was hiding from Mossad? :roll:So he happened to go into hiding straight after the incident? If he had nothing to hide, why was HE hiding??
What war did he monger?I dont care if he was a government official. That doesn't justify attending the funeral of a barbaric war monger.
You got all this from him simply attending a funeral service?Abbas has shown he does not care for humanity, for peace, or for conflict resolution outside the realm of cowardly terrorist attacks on individuals who have nothing to do with any of it.
Yeah... the gall of him! :roll:I support him fully in pursuing peace but he undermines the entire cause when he pulls of stupid stunts like these.

Yeah... the gall of him!
If Obama attended Osama Bin Laden's funeral, what would that tell you?
