This guy is responsible for the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre in which 11 Israeli athletes died. He attacked innocent civilians and committed an act of terrorism. In other words, he is a despicable individual.

So as a person who in general dislikes many of the things Israel is doing, how can Abbas be respected by people who sympathize with him, and who support him, or at least give him a degree of respect as a leader by the Israeli side who want a solution, when he attends the funerals of terrorists.

Disgusting, outrageous.

This is not the type of man we want to be at the forefront of peace.

The man has been accused of being part of Black September, although none of these allegations have been proven and confirmed. To say he is the person responsible for what happened in Munich in 1972 is devoid of accuracy. Most of those who were directly involved in the massacre were killed in reprisal attacks by Israel's Mossad. The reason he was given a ceremony was because he was a government official, not because he may or may not have been involved in the Munich massacre.

So he happened to go into hiding straight after the incident? If he had nothing to hide, why was HE hiding??

I dont care if he was a government official. That doesn't justify attending the funeral of a barbaric war monger. Abbas has shown he does not care for humanity, for peace, or for conflict resolution outside the realm of cowardly terrorist attacks on individuals who have nothing to do with any of it.

I support him fully in pursuing peace but he undermines the entire cause when he pulls of stupid stunts like these.

Mahmoud Abbas donated money to Black September (Munich Olympics massacre), but has always claimed that he had no knowledge of how the money would be utilized.

which was a lie. Arafat did the same think the with al-aqsa brigade, which worked as an excuse for years.

of course, we now know that the PA organized, funded and directed the al-aqsa terrorist group the entire time. We knew it at the time too, of course, but the same "plausible deniability" strategy the PLO (including Abbas) used (and apparently still uses) for Black September was effective for a fairly long period of time.

Because people just wanted to believe it, not because there was actually much plausible deniability.

You don't have to support or agree with someone in order to attend their funeral.

You should in general like them though, or care enough they died....the way Amin cared about those people he blew up to bits of meat. Did Abbas go to there funerals out of sympathy?

Hmm, maybe he was hiding from Mossad?

What war did he monger?

You got all this from him simply attending a funeral service?

Yeah... the gall of him!

hmm..maybe because he did something?

What war did he monger?

It was used as more of an expression to describe my disgust at his attacks on innocents. Does this not disgust you?

If Obama attended Osama Bin Laden's funeral, what would that tell you?

Yeah... the gall of him!

How dare he not attend the funeral of a terrorist, right?

Your against Israeli policies like me but we must draw a line with terrorists.
