The only thing I lobby for is that a nuclear-armed Russia leave Ukraine alone. I would greatly prefer a diplomatic solution, but Putin isn't interested. There's also polls that reveal that Americans are growing tired of US foreign Policy, period, not just when democrats advance it, not just when republicans advance it but period. We don't want what you're lobbying for, hear?
I certainly don't seek a US/Russia military confrontation. I have supported both diplomatic peace initiatives regarding Ukraine ... Minsk I and Minsk II.that doesn't mean we want some proxy war with Russia.

But as is evident with the Debaltseve cauldron, Putin isn't all that interested in a diplomatic solution.
How the EU and US governments respond is up to neither you nor me.
Russia's economy is cratering due to the plunge in oil prices, not the tepid sanctions. If the EU/US really wanted to hurt Russia badly, they would impose a SWIFT ban. But that coup de grâce hasn't happened.whether i support the US getting involved is. and i don't. trying to mess up Russia's economy was a mistake, as well. it was a "doing something" half measure, with which the road to hell is paved.

Oh boy, it's been the Germans
and the Japanese
and the Soviets
and the Vietnamese,
and the Chinese,
and the Iranians
and the Iraqis
and the Syrians
and the Libyans
and........I'm sure I'm leaving somebody out.
Oh sure, probably everyone of them threatened US hegemony, and US business, I'll not deny that.
Yeah, can't let them threaten business or Jiminy, or anything. And there were those little peccadillos like the Holocaust, Pearl Harbor, Nanking, and the soviet's ruling eastern Europe for fifty years...
The Crimea AND the Donetsk regions voted overwhelmingly to leave...
and THAT is all the UN should care about.
You've got the cart before the horse as usual. As documented earlier, US/NATO/IMF interference in Yugoslavia post Tito, precipitated those mass graves.
Well that and they were responsible for a combined death toll of over 500 million but hay what's a little apologetics for Hitler, Stalin, and Mao when you can bash the liberal democratic United States, how is it that your anti-Americanism is so virulent that you find yourself in the same corner as Hitler. Simply amazing.
Yes. It seems quite rational to increasingly think about Russia as a threat as its threat grows. Putin is seriously dangerous. There is no doubt. But presently the real danger is more his activity in South America. Only if he can split the EU or the EU from the USA would the situation immediately deteriorate.
But this is all very little dangerous compared to what will be, when multipolarity is further developed.
Time to take your pill. I think.

Hitler.
Hirohito.
Stalin.
Ho Chi Minh
Mao.
Khomeni.
Saddam
Assad.
Qaddafi.
Putin.
Mass murdering genocidal maniacs one and all.
Select groups within our country simply can not create enough boogeymen for us.
Particularly loaning an unstable Argentine government Military jets.... The guys needs to learn some hard truths and these " sanctions" are not working. Putin tested the water back in 2008 with Georgia and now he is laughing in Nato's face.
Yes because the IMF rather than Communism destroyed the Yugoslavian economy, regardless the assertion that economic turmoil precipitates genocide is nonsense. The West was in no way responsible for the genocidal Milosevic after all he was Russia's ally.

Well then, I could post a longer list of Western powers, the UK at the top, of having caused far more suffering, so if your keeping score, you might need to rethink that.
You may excuse what you will. Nevertheless, Yugoslavia was a planed break up. But listen, ****s not over. Its a different world, and there are people calling bull**** in various ways that can't be dealt with on a traditional battlefield, or with your military prowess like you use to do. Its time to make peace, and compromise.
Oh no, I'm no fan of Hitler, Stalin, Churchill, or FDR. WAR CRIMINALS ARE ALL THE SAME.
No you can not, even the British Empire at its height did not have the death toll of Hitler, Stalin, or Mao.
lol comparing Churchill and FDR to Stalin and Hitler, wow just wow.
