So you honestly don't believe that it is obvious?
You don't have strong opinions about welfare? You think that the best foreign affairs policy is more obvious that the best welfare policy?
What is the Obama doctrine? I dont know anyone who can explain his foreign policy beyond it being a random clumping of seemingly unrelated issues and incoherent statements to the world.
He may not be focused on foreign policy, but it will really come home and bite him hard.
Here are a couple of guys who were in a position to know. Which sources do you have that contradicts them?
Obama in 2011: ‘We’re Leaving Behind A Stable And Self-Reliant Iraq’

Yeah, you said it better.
And aren't they kind of biting him now? He's facing a mid term and has squat to show for 6 years in office save a Nobel Peace prize no one wants to talk about anymore. He has not one success to point to despite the fact he has only been about foreign policy for the last two years. When was there a new domestic initiative out of the White House? He's jacked there, the Tea Party has him jammed up.
Its been a mess but we still have 2 years of fail left. Man that nobel prize seems like a smack in the face right about now.
I feel, which means I could be wrong, that what was lost after the military left could be regained much more easily with another 'surge'. It seems that many lessons have been learned since the withdrawal and the leaders of the other ME countries, and the Democracies, may have learned a great deal of how fragile all these things can be.
and you think a conservative can get anything done after six years of poisoning the political debate?
Calm down, im saying that using "its obvious" as evidence to back your claim isn't the smartest idea. Thats all.
In the very least, we need a full effort on the air strikes with enough special forces boots on the ground to paint targets for air strikes as we did in the beginning of the Afghanistan war. However the goal must be to destroy ISIS. Obama is playing it stupid with his: "Err...I am just going to protect American interests and the Kurds." ISIS is quickly growing into a global threat...not just a threat to the Iraqis. Obama thinks it is only about sectarian issues in Iraq. If we do not address the issue in Iraq and Syria, we will soon be facing them in New York or Chicago.

I think that conservatives get things done, and the world actually respects them. Its when we have pushover chumps like Obama that the wolves come out.
the kurds can paint the targets for us

that is not what i meant.
how are conservatives going to get the opposing political party to negotatie after they have spent 8 years kicking them in the nuts?

The Kurds are hiding from ISIS's newly acquired artillery. Terrorists with crew served weapons. :doh

We should provide all that is needed but allow the dirtiest fighting to be done amongst the arabs. They dont play by the wests PC rules of engagement and therefore would be more effective.

Obama's idea of foreign policy was his "apology tour'.
Nothing political, but where are they getting these weapons from? Who the hell is selling them weapons, or buying oil from their oil fields?
Just seems to me that if the world would stop supplying them, they would dry up and disapear.
I get this image of a large dead and smelly bird around his neck.
He is very desperate. Here he is promoting a war over the death of one American journalist when the assassination of Ambassador Stephens warranted only a still unfulfilled promise of justice through the FBI.....in order for this to fly, by rights, the American public should be demanding a reconciliation there.
That was the first "FAIL"
The came Arab Spring and.....well it's a long list and my fingers grow weary
I was refering more to their late pm programming.
About half of them do. but even more disinformed voters votes republican these days.
Like people who have been disinformed by numerous Fox News contributors who have claimed that 40% of our governments spending is borrowed. Or that the labor force participation rate is lower than at any point since the great depression.
many are also disinformed by tea party posts on facebook. Like people who believe that muslums are exempt from Obamacare, or that Obama has issued more executive orders than every other president combined.
