Amazon’s top lawyer crafted a strategy to scapegoat the man who organized a protest at a New York warehouse, calling the African-American ex-employee ‘not smart, or articulate.’ President Obama’s ex-spokesman helped carry it out.

Chris Smalls was fired on Monday, after he led up to 50 of his colleagues at a Staten Island warehouse to walk out in protest over what they described as unsafe working conditions at the mammoth facility, including the lack of protective gear for the workers.

This is suprising. I would have expected Amazon to praise him.

Amazon is a merciless company singularly motivated by greed. Individuals are nobody, nothing. They will not hesitate to wipe out any company solely done by some computer software - no human even involved and no appeal whatsoever. Most merchants hate Amazon - even if no choice but to use it as it is the bulk of Internet sales now - even if you pay more on Amazon. Amazon makes more money off a sale than most merchants do - and Amazon did nothing for it other than have software and a huge website.

But consumers love Amazon. So why should Amazon care? If Amazon will solely by computer software totally wipe out businesses and companies - and all their employees - big and small - why would anyone think they care about any mere little employee? People are nothing to Amazon. One more dollar for Amazon is everything. Amazon is the biggest and most ruthless monopoly on earth. I agreed with Elizabeth Warren on that - and so is Google, with Google and Amazon basically business partners now. But people love Google too and most use it - though wouldn't have to. Google also will summarily destroy companies and their employees of any size on no notice and even will give no reason whatsoever.

Remember the Google employee, noting how often Google said they were doing everything possible to not be the most white male employee company in the country, putting some friendly positive suggestions in the Google employee chat circle asking for employee comments how Google could attract more women and minorities? INSTANTLY fired. When he then went to the press, Google's response was that he was a rotten, terrible employee and rotten, terrible person and that is why they fired him.

Those two companies have absolutely no ethics whatsoever. It singularly is about money, too big to be restrained even by any laws. You can't even sue Amazon - ever - about anything - because it's in your agreement when you sign up - and the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld that. Amazon could see a defective product that is an Amazon product (not merchant) that is neither approved by the FDA or US Dept of Agriculture as required, giving your cancer or hopitalizes for a month or blinded for life - and all that could be done is requesting an Amazon mediation - not court enforceable.

I purchased a wallet from the shop which was 25% cheaper than all the wallets sold on amazon. Good sellers and shops may not be listed on amazon.

Also scam sellers are listed on amazon. Be careful, you will lose all your money. Amazon is no help if things go wrong.
