Would you care to admit your own personal hypocrisies?
Are you a christian that advocates SSM?
Are you pro-life as well as pro-death penalty?
Are you a republican that desires a full-on social health program like England or Canada has?
Do you own guns but desire harsher restrictions on gun owners?
Do you preach anti-smoking messages to your kids, and you smoke?
Are you a police officer that regularly breaks the law?
Do you rant and rave about abstinence from sex even though you were basically a "whore" once yourself?
Would you be interested in "outing" yourself here? Cleanse your soul?
Care to share?
1. It's not hypocritical for a christian to be pro-SSM any more than it's hypocritical for a christian to support tax excempt Hindu temples.
2. Anti-death penatly.
3. Not a republican.
4. Not hypocritical, one can own guns but still think they should be regulated, just like one can own a car and thing that there should be automobile standards and liscensing.
4. Don't smoke.
5. Not a cop.
6. Not hypocritical as long as you achnowledge it, and don't hide it.

I'm pro-life and pro-death penalty, but that is not hypocrisy.
Actually - it is.
Actually - it is.

That in no way contradicts the death penalty.
Depends on your definition of Pro-Life.
I'm pro-life and pro-death penalty, but that is not hypocrisy.
The 10,000 foot view of pro-life, especially those that are pro-life even in the most extreme cases like rape and incest, is that the taking of a life is wrong. Period. Any termination of any life regardless of circumstance is "murder" and therefore it's wrong.
There's your hypocrisy. Now I'm 100% sure you'll justify the death penalty in some way, but it'll still be a hypocritical way from those on the outside looking in.
The Pro-Life view is about innocent life. People on death row generally are not innocent.

see red text :2wave:
That doesn't actually make it hypocrisy because someone deems it to be.
Yes - it does.
Simply because you can justify it - doesn't make it NOT a hypocrisy.
(see how that works)
I was wondering if anybody would reply to this thread. It's very hard for people to admit to something hypocritical.
I know plenty of people who'd kill any guy they might catch humping their wife, but given the chance they've happily banged away on someone elses wife.
My beliefs fit into my moral standard, therefore not hypocrisy.
As stated before - you've justified your hypocrisy. As most do.
Apparently you ignore the actual definition of hypocrisy.
See the title of thread - it also states "conflicting ideologies".
I was also not aware that every single thread and thought here HAD to hold to the EXACT definition of each and every word put forth.
I'll try to remember that the next time you post something.
The ideologies wouldn't conflict either...... just saying.
The majority of us would never admit to hypocrisy, mostly because we don't recognize it in ourselves_
So you be the judge: Like many, my guy and me have our kinky moments behind closed doors; where it stays_
I would never think of dragging that part of my life out in public and demand for society to accept it_
So for this reason I don't consider myself at all hypocritical when I criticize those who do make such demands_
And the libertarian in me is anti-big government/pro-capitalism/pro-western culture and pro-freedom!
But I would support legislation that criminalized advocating Marxist/Communist/Socialist polices in the US_
Some might consider this to be a fascist anti-1st Amendment law and would likely consider me a hypocrite_
IMO this is a very small sacrifice to ensure the preservation of the American Dream for all future generations_
History has shown that Marxism/Communism/Socialism results in mass murder, oppression and human suffering_
And since advocating murder oppression and suffering are already crimes, we would simply be including a catalyst_
So whether or not I'm actually a "hypocrite" will likely vary from judge to judge_
