Here is a starter. Go for cadence and try to rhyme.

T'was the day after Christmas and the house was a mess.
Fat raindrops were falling and the yard turned to mush.

Dunkin Donuts made coffee, egg sandwich too.
IHOP made pancakes and the syrup was blue
 
I waited by the door for Junior’s new bike
“Will it make it?” I thought. “Damn Amazon strike.”
 
And mama with her cocoa and I with my wine
Had just turned on Netflix to watch Suits Season 9
