sure, if they are 21, and are duly licensed. or if they are varsity shooters who have target weapons. I was an All American at Yale and since I had a single room, the Campus cops had no problem with me sometimes having my Perazzi Mirage in my room
normally it was at the police station but I would get it-walk through campus to the team room where we'd catch a bus to the range. On days that we had two day tournaments I'd usually take it to my room for cleaning. I was a celebrity among the cops since I was a world class shooter. I never threatened anyone with a gun. at all times I was over 18 (the legal age to buy a shotgun in CT at the time)
my father was at yale right after the war and was a naval reserve officer. he often had "shore patrol" after classes and on those days he was in uniform with his sidearm. He never shot anyone either. and there were more than a few men (1947-48) who were in the same situation he was.
As opposed to being good little sheep and victims waiting for another Cho and another VaTech incident???Do you think that students should be allowed to have guns on my college campus?
I can tell you that I would feel so much less safe that I have no words to describe it.
This news article came out three hours ago:
Countries With High Gun Ownership Have More Firearms Deaths : Shots - Health News : NPR
Here is an interesting graph:
Chart: The U.S. has far more gun-related killings than any other developed country
Another comparison:
US firearm-related homicide deaths: 11,078
United Kingdom firearm-related homicide deaths: 38
Facts are stubborn things as your hero Reagan said
How do you know gun laws impacted his ability to purchase an AR15?
And..we have already discussed Japan and clearly demonstrated that in Japan as in the US, those criminals invested in getting illegal weapons, do.
we have bought more and more firearms here in the USA and our rate of violent crime has gone downS
As opposed to being good little sheep and victims waiting for another Cho and another VaTech incident???
If those students were law abiding citizens you would have nothing to fear. If they weren't, your laws are useless and without someone to bail you out you are already screwed.

Really? Gun laws restrict gun availability? Hows that working in Chicago? And for the record...you are cool with ARs...its just fully auto machine guns you are concerned about now? :lamo
Sheep that live safely in pens tell the stags that roam the wilds that living in the pen keeps them safe from wolves
the problem is, while the wolf might take a few that live free and wild, the farmer castrates most of the ones in the pen while being able to shear or slaughter them at his convenience
Do you not understand how the exchange of goods and people is facilitated between states, but that national boarders and international trade tends to be more restricted?
are national boarders foreign exchange students living in my spare bedroom?
This is the Cowboy Dystopia
What?
Wait...what? You believe it didnt really happen...that it was all just a hoax?
Boarder-someone who BOARDS
Border-the boundary between states, nations or fabric
Oh, well thank you for the correction. For a minute I thought you had something of substance to contribute, so you will need to excuse my confusion

that's stupid. should I note that your argument is sheep appeal? why are you afraid of honest people owning weapons? the only people who should be afraid of good citizens possessing arms are those who engage in activities that would justify a good man or woman shooting them
Tell me why you think there are 11,000 firearm homicides in the US and 30 in the UK? I don't want you to dance around this like you have been. Give me your explanation. In my opinion, this single fact demolishes your ideology.
Diversion, diversion, diversion.
Read this again.
GUN LAWS RESTRICT THE AVAILABILITY OF GUNS.
Now reflect upon that.
As has been clearly demonstrated on numerous occasions, those national borders are completely ineffective when criminals have the desire and intent to transport goods.Do you not understand how the exchange of goods and people is facilitated between states, but that national boarders and international trade tends to be more restricted?
what is the difference in the gangs and drug trade between the UK and US? Where do you suppose the VAST majority of those 11,000 deaths are occurring in the US?Tell me why you think there are 11,000 firearm homicides in the US and 30 in the UK? I don't want you to dance around this like you have been. Give me your explanation. In my opinion, this single fact demolishes your ideology.
I never made that assumption about the posts you have made on gun issues.
The fact is gun fear is irrational and the solutions based on irrational foundations tend to be both silly and worthless
your little slice of heaven disproves that statement.Diversion, diversion, diversion.
