Neither is Putin!

I haven't seen anything work for him (Trump), at least in terms of Economics & World Politics.

If anything, his involvement seems to make things worse. Putin is bombing Ukrainian civilians at an increased rate, and China's tariffs are higher than they've ever been. And still? No Trump solution.
 
The man is being played by two pros and they are winning. He really has no idea how to deal with things other than to bully. However, Putin and Xi are not the type to be bullied. We'll see how he deals with this.....guess we'll know in two weeks

Two weeks ago China was in grave economic danger! The very high Tariffs I set made it virtually impossible for China to TRADE into the United States marketplace which is, by far, number one in the World. We went, in effect, COLD TURKEY with China, and it was devastating for them. Many factories closed and there was, to put it mildly, “civil unrest.” I saw what was happening and didn’t like it, for them, not for us. I made a FAST DEAL with China in order to save them from what I thought was going to be a very bad situation, and I didn’t want to see that happen. Because of this deal, everything quickly stabilized and China got back to business as usual. Everybody was happy! That is the good news!!! The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US. So much for being Mr. NICE GUY!

I tend to agree with you. I rode out the "great recession", the covid pandemic, and a few others along the way; it's always ended well. This time feels different, so now that this year's losses have been regained; I pulled a lot out of the stock market for a while. Please pass the popcorn.

What a load of BS! That ought to get Xi on the phone!!! Mind you, the base will eat it up. Sooner or later, they will start to see what an ineffective negotiator he is.

Exactly.

Trump can't negotiate. He only "succeeds" by bullying. He was born into money & power, and bullied from the get-go until now. Except now he ran into more powerful men than himself.

It was coined by those in finance working in the markets, who became successful buying on the dips following Trump's threats, and selling into the the rises that occur when he subsequently removes his threats (chickens out). And doing it over and over again.

Apparently a lot of money has been made this way, and a great many joined-in on the bandwagon!

It's called,
