"Foolish liberals who are trying to read the Second Amendment out of the constitution by claiming it's not an individual right or that it's too much of a safety hazard don't see the danger of the big picture. They're courting disaster by encouraging others to use this same means to eliminate portions of the Constitution they don't like."

exactly: and its interesting to see so many on the left defend -from even landslide popular votes at the state level, court created rights like Miranda, Gideon, gay marriage and abortion, yet they pretend that the second amendment doesn't protect individuals.
if the ninth or tenth amendments can be read to create a power for the federal courts to strike down state laws against abortion, sodomy, interracial marriage etc, why shouldn't the courts also strike down laws against gun ownership by honest people EVEN IF THE SECOND AMENDMENT didn't exist?
