From inside the truck, the young man shook his head as federal immigration officers banged on the door and his father repeatedly said in Spanish, “Don’t open it.”​

“Francisco! Roll down the window!” one agent said, addressing the father, who was in the driver’s seat.​

Another officer smashed the window, shattering it, and Francisco sped away, as three bangs that sounded like gunshots rang out.​

“In the course of the incident the suspect drove his truck at the officers and struck two CBP officers with his vehicle,” read a statement from the Department of Homeland Security. Because of that, the official said, a CBP officer discharged his firearm “in self-defense.”​

I still believe at least some of the ICE "agents" are the pardoned violent MAGA Capitol insurrectionist rioters, and other Trump mercenary anti-Americans. You can tell by that sloppy stance which mirrors the J6 insurrectionists. I remember that ICE bunch outside Dodger's Stadium recording the media with their cell phones after they were not allowed to enter the facility. The last thing they looked like was professional. Either way, this is yet another disgrace heaped upon the American people by Donald Trump.

We’ve also seen both deportations to foreign gulags and the creation of a network of domestic detention centers — call it the ICE archipelago — that are overcrowded, filthy, and breeding grounds for disease. Last week a judge ordered that detainees at ICE’s Manhattan facility be given bedding mats rather than being forced to sleep on dirty concrete floors, have access to decent hygiene, and receive three meals a day. We’ll see whether this order is obeyed, but it gives you an idea of the conditions detainees are currently facing.​

Given that the bullets hit the side of the vehicle, that is an obvious lie. The video refutes the assertion. But in this regime, lying is practically required. That's why there is a 1500% increase in "assaults" on ICE. They just pretend and lie about it. Since they never produce facts to support their assertions, they can't be fact "checked." Fascism 101.

DHS/ICE has been transformed into the grotesque parody of a corrupt law enforcement agency that Hollywood would dismiss as incredible.
