This is a deadly hemorrhagic fever type disease that looks to be a real problem.

AP —
An unknown illness first discovered in three children who ate a bat has rapidly killed more than 50 people in northwestern Congo over the past five weeks, health experts say.

The interval between the onset of symptoms – which include fever, vomiting and internal bleeding – and death has been 48 hours in most cases and “that’s what’s really worrying,” said Serge Ngalebato, medical director of Bikoro Hospital, a regional monitoring center.

This is why countries like the US need to be involved with and funding WHO.

Sounds like an Africa problem. After all, it’s not like diseases have been known to spread.

Damn bats again. Don't eat bats people!

“Looks like by April, you know in theory when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away.” ~ President Donald Trump

I think this would be a great time for Pasty White and Mr. Kennedy to see how many folks at the NIH and CDC they can shitcan as non essential employees, they could probably shutter both of those agencies if they took a chainsaw to those places.

Don't forget Dr Lycanthrope's "an ounce of prevention" disease mitigation strategy...

Why, just two year ago I was diagnosed with COVID, TB, and Measles at the same time but I survived by drinking raw milk, eating horse paste, doing 100 pushups a day, and starting 3 small businesses a week. Americans need to stop being soft!

I've been adding horse paste to my Cap'n Crunch every morning for a year and I have yet to contract Ebola 😇

That is so sad. I hope they'll get ahead of this quickly.
