For all the flack that McDonalds gets they have more healthy choices on their menu than most.
As a matter of fact, it's possible to lose weight eating nothing but McDonald's food.
A Diet for McDonalds fans:
Choose one and only one item for each of 4 meals a day:
Breakfast:
Egg McMuffin
Sausage Burrito
Fruit and Maple Oatmeal
Lunch
Hamburger
Cheeseburger
Eggwhite Delight
Dinner
Filet o Fish
McChicken Grilled
McDouble
Artisian Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Evening
Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad
Bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken Salad
Drink at least 10 8 ounce glasses of water or the equivalent per day.
No alcohol.
This averages out to be about 1300 calories per day, and you will lose weight if you follow the diet strictly.
I bet you would lose weight. Probably start suffering organ failure after 30 days, like that guy on "Supersize Me".
1300 calories a day, you'd have to be in a coma for that to support you, and you'd still suffer from it. Tell me it wasn't any kind of medical advice that you starve yourself, getting all your calories from crap fast food.
It's actually a fairly balanced weight loss diet. Plenty of protein and not that much in the way of carbs.
But there's no use talking to foodies.
We're just not gonna count vitamins and minerals, right?
Maybe mcdonalds should find equivalent to subway's jerry to try and lure in health nuts?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jared_FogleFogle's tenure with Subway ended after he was investigated for paying for sex with minors and receiving child pornography in 2015. On August 19, 2015, he agreed to plead guilty in federal court to possessing child pornography and traveling to pay for sex with minors. Fogle formally pleaded guilty to the charges on November 19, 2015, and was sentenced to serve 15 years, 8 months in federal prison, with a minimum of 13 years before becoming eligible for early release.[4][5][6]

What if I skipped all the McDonalds and just went with straight alcohol?
Seems healthier, and more fun.
You can lose quite a bit of weight on a straight alcohol diet. I've done it before. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of nutritional value in bourbon and beer so after a week or so you generally get really sick.
Bad plan.

But they sure spammed some coupons (bogo) when that was happening. 2 subs for 8 bucks was a good deal.

In the end it doesnt matter what you eat, its all about the calories. If your caloric burn is more than your intake then you will lose weight.

I'm losing weight at 2,000-2500 calories a day plus an hour + of serious exercise. My biggest concern about that diet is that I suspect it isn't enough protein to keep from losing muscle mass. Roughly 50% of my calories come from protein (250+ grams/day), and despite my workouts, I've still lost a little muscle weight (although I think it's a lot less muscle than I would have lost if I didn't do weight training plus eat high protein).
Ever notice how people who lose large amounts of weight often still don't look quite look healthy or fit? It's because they did little to keep muscle mass, and although they have gotten much smaller, they have gone from big-fat to skinny-fat.
