DOGE has found very very little waste.
Many people are unhappy with DOGEs efforts to trim government waste and fraud, and many people don't like the DOGE Director, Elon Musk.
What are some ways to shut it down?
Congress
Supreme Court Judge
Impeachment
Arson
or maybe some other ways?

That (76%) number has dropped since then, but that was for ALL Americans - including those who don't even pay income taxes. I think that the percentage of TAXPAYERS who support DOGE's cost-cutting efforts is probably close to 99%.
How?
I don't work for the government, and I don't participate in waste and fraud, so DOGE has no interest in what I do.
You cut waste with a knife, not a chainsaw. And USAID is ended. As someone said, the richest man in the world is causing the deaths of some of the poorest children in the world.I'd say the majority are happy that DOGE is finding waste
the unhappy are just loud/TESLA vandalizing people who have no job to work and nothing else to do
And you actually believe that? Some numbers on a website? Amazing level of gullibility on display.
And you actually believe that? Some numbers on a website? Amazing level of gullibility on display.
i believe it more than what Biden's administration done - which was nothing
Yes. Why would people who don't pay taxes be concerned about waste and fraud in government? Taxpayers are the ones who ultimately pay for waste and fraud in government, so we are the ones who will benefit from DOGE's efforts to curb them.Do you imply that if you do not pay TAX you should not be included in a poll about whether you agree or disagree with DOGE's efforts?
I firmly believe this. (on Tax - related measures and statutes)It's a very small extension to saying that you can only vote if you pay taxes.
In my opinion is effing stupid to have people who do NOT pay taxes to be afforded suffrage to raise taxes on us stiff who DO. There isn't even a word in the English language that describes how stupid that is. (in my opinion).I am sure you did not mean to say that. Sorry, it looks odd. Especially coming from you.
This could happen - a lot of republicans and indies who voted for Trump last year are disillusioned, feeling ripped off, and are actively supporting congress critters who oppose Trump and MAGA. Landslide victories in mid terms is a possibility.Supreme court is a definite 'No'.
And Impeachment will only be possible with a massive landslide victory during the midterms. If that is even enough...
A lot of MAGAs are feeling ripped off. Trump has lost many supporters, and GOP candidates from all states will pay the price. . . it is not entirely unthinkable that Trump does something so incredibly ****ing stupid that even his own supporters will let him down.
I think Trump has a decent chance of be impeached after mid-terms. Many people are demanding their representatives file for impeachment. In fact Articles of Impeachment against Trump were drawn up just week.An other possibility for his fall would be massive demonstrations when public discontent is on the rise. Even though Trump has a massive plate in front of his face, he is sensitive to things like this.
I disagree - - the likelihood of these things happening is practically nil.It is also possible that some of his action will ultimately result in problems such as war, failed natural disaster response, or even food shortages. Which too can result in the above described discontent and its consequences.
I'm vegitarian, lactose intolerant, and failed my FAA medical 4 years ago when I lost all hearing in one ear and 50% in the other. My HMO plan covers inpatient hospital stays. I'm good.Do you eat meat or drink milk, ever fly in an airplane, ever need an inpatient hospital stay, need a medical device or a new drug? Better hope not.
What does Biden have to do with it? The numbers have either been verified by an independent auditor - which gives them a level of creditability - or it's just a bunch of numbers tossed on a website which means it's likely bullshit. Biden has nothing to do with it and you bringing him up means you cannot defend your argument.i believe it more than what Biden's administration done - which was nothing

The legal ways to do it will be ignored, as this is an autocracy. Every Republican voter did this.
Oh, my vote is "I like potatoes." Please include this option in the future.
No rational taxpayer approves of selling the US government to the richest man in the world. No rational taxpayer opposes making government more efficient and less wasteful.
I disagree. EVERYONE has a valid reason not to pay TAX. But only a minority is selected to be exempt from paying Taxes. It is patently unfair to select some people to pay taxes and select another group to be exempt.Hi SkyChief,
You know what, I kinda get the sentiment, but it just doesn't work that way. First of all there are plenty of people who would pay TAX if their income was higher And secondly, there is a large group of people who have valid reasons to not pay TAX.
Straw Man.But aside from this sentimental blabla, the concept just doesn't work. Next you'll have people who claim you can't vote about military related subjects if you haven't been in the army.
No. I never said (or even implied) that. You can not vote about abortion rights when you're not a woman and about LGBTQ regulations if you're not at least a little bit gay.
LOL. Nope. you made that up.Obviously, you can't vote about immigrants if you're not an immigrant yourself. And Trump would quickly introduce a new law that you have to be a republican to be allowed to vote.
Ok.And just for the fun of it, let's single out Trump.
That's nonsense. I never suggested that.So you're thinking that he should not be able to vote on tax related legislation, but he is allowed to create policy? That just doesn't sound right now, does it?
DOGE is doing what they were meant to do - eliminate waste and fraud in government. Congress is supposed to do it, but they can't (or won't). So DOGE does it.I get your feelings about this are strong, but it will never happen. Ok, I admit that in todays climate it is probably not wise to say 'never', but...
Then government can back to wasteful spending of out taxes. Sad but a real possibility. Of course efficiency and government shouldn't be used in the same sentence under left rule anyway. Plus then the hardworking poor and those struggling on SS will not get a tax break. Instead our hard earned money we paid in to SS will go to illegals instead of the the people who funded SS. But we will have a solution to the shortages of fentanyl as it starts to flow back across our unsecured borders. But what if democrats become the Majority Party in next year's midterms? (and it looks like they might)
Couldn't the Senate introduce a resolution to shut down DOGE with a majority Floor vote?
I disagree. EVERYONE has a valid reason not to pay TAX. But only a minority is selected to be exempt from paying Taxes. It is patently unfair to select some people to pay taxes and select another group to be exempt.
Direct Taxation is a Marxist idea (re: 2nd Plank of the Communist Manifesto)
Straw Man.
No. I never said (or even implied) that.
LOL. Nope. you made that up.
Ok.
That's nonsense. I never suggested that.
DOGE is doing what they were meant to do - eliminate waste and fraud in government. Congress is supposed to do it, but they can't (or won't). So DOGE does it.
DOGE is the Department Of Government Efficiency. Their mission/goal is to root out, and eliminate waste and fraud in government, and they are doing exacly that. Whether they save taxpayers $160 Billion, $160 Million, or $160,000 is irrelevant. The point is they are trimming the fat off of government, which makes government less powerful. That benefits everyone, as the size and power of government is inversely proportional to liberty and freedom. But as far is DOGE is concerned, all they are doing is ruining your country, but then again, so is everyone else in the administration, so no worries there. The one thing they are NOT doing though, is the exact thing they said they we're gonna do, and that is saving money.
So what? Whether DOGE is saving taxpayers $160 Billion, $160 Million, or $160,000 is irrelevant. They are lying about how much money they want to save and they are lying about the amount of money they have saved.
Hell yes. Marx (and his partner-in-crime/Friedrich Engels) created the Direct Income Tax in their joint collaboration: The Communist Manifesto. The U.S. had NO direct taxation until 1913 when the 16th Amendment was passed, giving Congress the "power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."And why is it relevant that direct TAX is a Marxist idea? Does that change any of it? Is paying TAX a better or worse idea because it was an idea of Marx?
It's this: Congress should be the ones who ensure that Taxpayers' money is spent wisely. They either cannot or will not. So DOGE does it for them. Not sure what you're getting at here.
What an incredibly stupid take.DOGE is the Department Of Government Efficiency. Their mission/goal is to root out, and eliminate waste and fraud in government, and they are doing exacly that. Whether they save taxpayers $160 Billion, $160 Million, or $160,000 is irrelevant. The point is they are trimming the fat off of government, which makes government less powerful. This newly bestowed power to Tax DIRECTLY started the vicious cycle of Taxation -> over-spending -> over-borrowing - MORE Taxation, etc, etc. . . Government is completely out of control, and we needed a department to reign it in, and DOGE is doing that.
It's this: Congress should be the ones who ensure that Taxpayers' money is spent wisely. They either cannot or will not. So DOGE does it for them.
"As government expands, liberty contracts." - Ronald Reagan
No, Republicans did this, and they own it.Actually, Democrats did this: if they were slightly less insane, then Trump never would have gotten elected.
You really need to stop believing every lie your leftist sources throw at you.No rational taxpayer approves of selling the US government to the richest man in the world.
You really need to open your eyes to what's happening in your federal government. You really need to stop believing every lie your leftist sources throw at you.
