A Limbaugh Caller Suggested The Media Would Have Already Buried Cruz If Not For Trump

Do you agree or disagree with this sentiment? Why or why not? The thinking was that Trump served as a lightning rod that prevented Cruz from getting zapped.

A little more context?

Are we asking that if Trump was not even in the race then Cruz would be out front, and because of that scenario then media would have burned him already? (Presumably to protect Hillary?)

Then I suppose just about anything is possible. Since Trump has been such a target for so much commentary and liberal media coverage it makes some sense that if he was not there, then perhaps Cruz would be the front-runner and he would be the aim of that same type of coverage.

The flip side of that is we have little evidence that Cruz would act as over the top as Trump has been, and the media may have held back a little until after the convention and after the primary debates where ratings mean something.

At the end of the day though, it hardly matters. Trump is a reality, a walking reality of the GOP's total mismanagement of the party and reality itself.

I assure you that all of us atheist are praying our asses off that the media exposes Cruz for the radical wacknut that he is - and bombards him relentlessly until he's out of the race.

Nice find. I was driving to a restaurant on my lunch break where I listened to it over my vehicle's radio.

Don't worry, they are doing their best. ;)

Though I think you are overly concerned about nothing. Us Christians really aren't the monsters the media makes us out to be. And contrary to popular mythology, the vast majority of us don't want to live under a theocracy.

If Cruz is elected president, the drinks are on me, to ease your suffering. I hope you'll do the same for me if one of your guys gets in. :mrgreen: Strictly for medicinal purposes, of course. :D

Personally our candidate choices on both sides suck so bad that even though I haven't drank in nearly 30 years - I'm seriously considering it a possibility on Nov 8th. to celebrate a new benchmark in political ignorance by We the People. Shame on us all.
