A Florida state judge was lobbying for a seat on the federal bench. After he sided with the president in a defamation case, Donald Trump gave him one.

Ed Artau, now a nominee to be a district court judge in Florida, met with staff in the office of Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott to angle for the nomination less than two weeks after Trump’s election last fall, according to a new Senate disclosure obtained by POLITICO. In the midst of his interviews, Artau was part of a panel of judges that ruled in Trump’s favor in the president’s case against members of the Pulitzer Prize Board.


More corruption and another corrupt piece of shit judge, and it’s another piece of shit corrupt judge from Florida to remain in Florida.

Also, In 1995, Artau was investigated for ethics violations after allegedly advocating for a judicial nominee whose husband had helped secure his appointment to a judicial nominating commission. The governor’s office found he had acted improperly.
 
Corruption is Donald Trump's middle name. It seems Florida state appeals court Judge Ed Artau is also corrupt.

Artau is also a member of the Federalist Society, a conservative lobbying organization supported by dark money donations.

Trump also nominated 4 other judges for vacancies on the federal bench in the Middle District of Florida. They are: Kyle Dudek, Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe, John Guard and Jordan Pratt. All five nominees will have hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee before the U.S. Senate votes on their confirmation. You can bet that they also have been vetted by the dark money Federalist Society.
