A huge shout out to our moderation team

Ditto! Mods👍
Things stayed much calmer than I thought they would. I think many here at DP are still coming to terms with the election results.
It's great that we have such a platform to vent or celebrate that is so well moderated.

Agreed, the one thread for election night seems to work out really well.

Thanks mods for thinking of and providing that more controlled scenario for the hours of election returns.

Be proud because you gave us a platform that enabled us to post passionately while also minimizing us crossing the line.
Thank you.

The one thread was a smart move.

Impressive! I'll have to get one of these and have it be my replacement for events where dancing is required.
And miss the cardio workout?

Oh, gosh, I just recalled something my father said when I was a teen about my generation's dancing (because I think it's true at social events such as weddings where dancing is expected)--that all we did was sway together and rub. Well, what else do you need to do?

That's what the cycling and running is for.
:)

All sorts of complicated things I can't be bothered to learn.
:)

Unfortunately most events my wife suggests we go to requires more than that.

How exactly does one dance to this? Demented jack-in-the-box like a raver or maybe just standing and showing off your awesome shoulder rhythm like this dj does?

I can still pull off a Tango but I have to look for a good lead. Mr. L has 2 left feet.

That's it, you just go with the rhythm.
Good clean-the-house background noise.

I always loved I guess what's called "ballroom dancing" these days. Foxtrot, waltz, cha-cha, all of it. And then I came to love really great two-stepping and western swing. So much fun if you have a partner who knows what he's doing. I've always had a case of happy feet.
