Yes, it is and the Bible says the heavens and all things in the heavens, that includes the luminaries, were created in the beginning...BEFORE the 1st creative day began...
lol...that is NOT what I said...talk about twisting...
Only if you read the Bible literally. Which you've rejected, since days aren't days anymore. No, because it totally contradicts what the Bible says...
Hey @Elora do you think the moon emits its own light? After all, saying that it reflects the light of the Sun "contradicts the Bible."While we’re on the topic, the fourth day in Genesis also falsely claims the Moon is a “luminary”. It isn’t. The Moon creates no light of its own. It only reflects the light of the sun.
Literally "It's ok for God to kill children."You are not Jehovah God...
No, you are...I did not say it took 4 days to reach the earth...I said...Post 67, now you are blatantly lying.
There is a difference...Wrong...the light was made to reach the earth...
The moon is not a natural light giving body. It is a reflector of natural light. Bible fail.luminary
a natural light-giving body, especially the sun or moon.

The moon does not emit natural light. So it is not a "natural light giving body." That's science.lol...that's google...

Still not a "natural light giving body."
Still a luminary, which is what the Bible calls it...Genesis 1:16...you fail...Still not a "natural light giving body."

It should be noted that, whereas Genesis 1:1 states that God “created” (Heb., ba·raʼʹ) the heavens and the earth in the beginning, verses 16 and 17 state that, during the fourth creative “day,” “God proceeded to make [Heb., a form of ʽa·sahʹ] the two great luminaries, the greater luminary for dominating the day and the lesser luminary for dominating the night, and also the stars. Thus God put them in the expanse of the heavens to shine upon the earth.” The Hebrew word ʽa·sahʹ, often translated “make,” can mean simply to establish (2Sa 7:11), appoint (De 15:1), form (Jer 18:4), or prepare (Ge 21:8).

Just because you say it ain't, that don't make it so...lol...The moon is not a luminary any more than a mirror is.
If anything reflecting light is luminary, then every object you can see is a luminary object.Just because you say it ain't, that don't make it so...lol...
A luminary gives light...the moon gives light...take it up with the dictionaries...If anything reflecting light is luminary, then every object you can see is a luminary object.
It "gives" light because it is reflecting the light of the sun.A luminary gives light...the moon gives light...take it up with the dictionaries...
I gave more than one source...there are plenty out there that say the same thing...the sun and moon are luminaries...just admit you are wrong, wipe the egg off your face, and move on...I won't tell anyone...lol...It "gives" light because it is reflecting the light of the sun.
Except this is how vision works. All objects you can see are reflecting light. That's why you can see them. The only difference is the amount of light.
You left out a piece of the google definition. The little tag "archaic." The moon was called a luminary because people at the time didn't understand how light works. That is a definition born of ignorance.
Why didn't you mention that tag, hmm? Deliberate deception? I do believe that is a sin.
Listen, at no point did I ever expect you to critically assess your beliefs. Stick to your belief that the moon "gives" light instead of reflecting it, because the internet told you so.I gave more than one source...there are plenty out there that say the same thing...the sun and moon are luminaries...just admit you are wrong, wipe the egg off your face, and move on...I won't tell anyone...lol...
