Comey wrote this on the beach with seashells and right-wingers are freeeeeeeaking the **** out and Comey is now under investigation by the FBI.

Free speech is alive and well.

afaict, only Trumpco customers regularly use 86 to mean violence

I've heard the term many times.

But Trumpco customers are the only ones I've hear use it in reference to violence.

If a Trumpco customer says to 86 someone, they mean it violently

From the posted source:

It is not immediately clear how the Secret Service, FBI or Homeland Security will proceed.

Probably. I don’t believe Comey understood it, though.

Maybe. He apologized, renounced violence, and took it down, so he has that much at least. The MAGA officials threatening to prosecute him look like massive hypocrites, IMO.

Comey has frequently displayed poor judgment.

"86" is something I've only heard in a business environment.

For example "86 that project" or "86 that department".

When applied to people it meant eliminate the people (via attrition etc), not murder them.
That's how I have heard it used too. In this context I immediately took it as impeach him.

Voted other, not sure I am interested in the game of what motivations James Comey had for that stunt, but the term "86" something is not exclusive to eliminate something. It is one of the applied meanings but not the only one.

It was still unwise for Comey to go there and the post ended up removed due to the backlash. He, of all people, should have known better.

You can use hundreds of words and terms for 'get rid of Trump' and have all of those meanings be interpreted as violence.

Strange message, better not to go there.
Yep, despite the fact "86" is being misinterpreted. Now had he posted a picture of seashells spelling 18747, then I could understand Don Jr.'s comments, but he's an idiot so I always extend him the courtesy of assuming most of what he says is wrong.
:)

and he's not stupid -just a liar, I wouldn't prosecute, but he's going to get investigated for sure
