Where’s ‘Due Process’ Now?

‘It’s OK when we do it!’

“The fact that a majority of Democratic voters would support imprisoning Elon Musk for trying to make government more efficient is a shocking indictment of the modern left, which has become increasingly more tyrannical in recent years,” said Justin Haskins, senior fellow at The Heartland Institute, who co-conducted the poll with Rasmussen.

He added, “We’ve reached a point where many Americans would rather unjustly punish innovation than fix the broken systems Musk was trying to reform.”

Where in the article does it say without due process?
The relevant poll questions:
4. Elon Musk helped create the new Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. Some claim that DOGE has engaged in unconstitutional activities, while others support DOGE’s efforts to reduce government spending. Would you support a hypothetical law that would ban Elon Musk from serving in government?
5. Would you support a hypothetical law that would imprison Elon Musk for his role in DOGE?

Presumably a lot of people heard and responded to this as something along the lines of
"Should it be/become an imprisonable criminal offence for senior government officials to engage in unconstitutional activities against federal agencies?"

The extremely objective pollsters at Rasmussen and The Heartland Institute presented the results as if the question being asked was more like
"Should an ex post facto law be created to personally target and imprison Elon Musk for doing his sincere and honest best to make government more efficient?"

Lol, "due process" is only a political buzz phrase they are using to make the Trump administration and Republicans look bad....nothing but propaganda tactics. Makes me sick to see the democrats act in this manner, when we have all seen "their" idea of due process the last ten years, lol.

Can anyone say "hypocritical"?

From the side that wants to suspend habeas corpus. Mush is a Holocaust denying fascist asshole. Billions in government contracts and now very little to no oversight thanks to this fascist regime.

Remember this lack of "due process" under 'The Deporter -in -Chief" Barry Sotero Obama?

It makes the liberal progressives crawl back in their holes.

"But advocates are upset about more than the sheer number of deportations. They are also unhappy with the way these deportations are taking place. In most cases, the government doesn’t provide immigrants with due process before returning them. At least three-quarters of people deported in 2012 didn’t get a hearing from an immigration judge, according to statistics from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)."

The rules don't apply to them, don't ya know? The tyrannical left have PESD:

"Several factors contribute to the development and intensity of Post-Election Stress Disorder:

1. Intense political polarization: As the gap between political ideologies widens, elections can feel increasingly high-stakes, leading to more intense emotional reactions.

2. Media coverage and information overload: The 24/7 news cycle and constant access to information through social media can overwhelm individuals, making it difficult to disconnect from political news and discussions.

3. Personal investment in election outcomes: When individuals strongly identify with a particular political party or candidate, election results can feel deeply personal and emotionally impactful.

4. Uncertainty about the future: Elections can bring about significant policy changes, leading to anxiety about how these changes might affect one’s life, family, or community.

5. Pre-existing mental health conditions: Individuals with anxiety disorders, depression, or other mental health issues may be more susceptible to experiencing post-election stress."

Fits them to a T.

And you feel we should continue to do this?

😏 What a typical righty 'gotcha' constructed strawman.
Let's suspend the 'hypothetical' spin doctoring up and until he's actually arrested.

You mean: Fits them to a Trump.

Trump inc. throws out some red meat and you guys take it from there....like a pack of starving mongrels.

Just look at the lengths you'll go to defend your dear leader's despotic leadership ^^^^^

Lol, look at the faux drama for appeal to the feeble minded, lol. "Red meat, rabid mongrels, despotic leadership" in just a couple of sentences....oh my! Working together in concert these simple minded sufferers of PESD believe they can sway the minds of voters so they can have another round of impeachments of Twump. The sickness runs very deep in these.

Yes, wanting a Constitutional right is propaganda to MAGA.

In America, before Trump, accused violators of laws were indicted and then tried in a court of law with a jury of 12.

Now, we can go back to to pre-Trump era where that is still the case, or we can do Trump era where there is no trial.

Which do you think Elon should be subjected to under this hypothetical law?

Telephone and online survey of a hypothetical law that puts the Holocaust denying fascist asshole in jail. Talk about strawman bullshit to be upset about. Meanwhile the malignant narcissist scumbag piece of shit liar grifter rapist seditionist felon serial adulterer and tax cheat really is arresting US citizens, ignoring judicial verdicts and threatening the removal of habeas corpus. The magidiots will reach for anything to justify their orange Jesus.

With very good reason. The Trump Kleptocracy is criminal. He should be impeached.

No - the vaccine is very strong in those.

Yes, wanting a Constitutional right is propaganda to MAGA.

"Due process" is the furthest thing from the minds and hearts of radical leftists as we all saw when they have control. Only when "out" of control do you spew words/phrases which are politically used to regain that lost control.....like junkies looking for the next fix.

Due process comes from the Constitution and our laws. Makes me sick see Trump and his cult want to ignore the Constitution and our laws because it prevents their beloved leader from getting his way and violating his oath of office. There is the great hypocrisy.
