Not for nothing, but I find 'convictions' distinctly different than arrests."New nonpublic data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicate that the government is primarily detaining individuals with no criminal convictions of any kind. Also, among those with criminal convictions, they are overwhelmingly not the violent offenses that ICE continuously uses to justify its deportation agenda. ICE has shared this data with people outside the agency, who shared the numbers with the Cato Institute.
As of June 14, ICE had booked into detention 204,297 individuals (since October 1, 2024, the start of fiscal year 2025). Of those book-ins, 65 percent, or 133,687 individuals, had no criminal convictions. Moreover, more than 93 percent of ICE book-ins were never convicted of any violent offenses. About nine in ten had no convictions for violent or property offenses. Most convictions (53 percent) fell into three main categories: immigration, traffic, or nonviolent vice crimes. The appendix table at the end of this post has data by detailed crime and broad crime categorization."

Interesting when you consider ICE was created to protect us from foreign threats, not serve as the president's personal gestapo.
The other day, a car wash owner accused ICE agents of acting like criminals. They are causing more damage to communities than are the people they are rounding up.
Trump has tossed a new shiny object to grab Americans attention. ICE will be happy to be knocked off the front pages,Interesting when you consider ICE was created to protect us from foreign threats, not serve as the president's personal gestapo.

Are you one of those? Every brown skin is a criminal type? Not for nothing, but I find 'convictions' distinctly different than arrests.
Jails are filled with people who have not been convicted.
Beyond a doubt. The other day, a car wash owner accused ICE agents of acting like criminals. They are causing more damage to communities than are the people they are rounding up.
This has nothing to do with immigration law and everything to do with the Republicans promising their base persecution of non whites and blue states."New nonpublic data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicate that the government is primarily detaining individuals with no criminal convictions of any kind. Really? How would they go about doing that with little difficulty? Then most of those deported by ICE should have little difficulty entering the country legally, and provided with a way of showing they have legally enter the country if/when asked.

Bad hombres just get deported. We often don't bother with the expense of a trial and conviction. But we do infact remember who they are just in case we see their sorry ass again.
At a valid border cross point.Really? How would they go about doing that with little difficulty?
What did we think would happen when NAZI Miller set quotas?"New nonpublic data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicate that the government is primarily detaining individuals with no criminal convictions of any kind. What are they seeking?...and do what. Ask for asylum?
You honestly beleive a claim of asylum will be honoured at a port of entry during the Trump regime? What are they seeking?
That's what MAGA wants."New nonpublic data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicate that the government is primarily detaining individuals with no criminal convictions of any kind. If not they will be denied entry. You honestly beleive a claim of asylum will be honoured at a port of entry during the Trump regime?
Yes that is exactly what will happen. They will be denied entry which blows a great big hole in your theory. If not they will be denied entry.
