They arent really socialist either. They all certainly dont care about social equality, they rely on capitalist trade for their economy, have property and business ownership. Like the US, they have some socialism. They are just more authoritarian in their application and use socialism even more than us, to maintain political power.

Sure it is, its redistributing wealth from those who earned it to those who didnt, to promote social equality. Just because the NEED is greater, doesnt change that.

There really is no such thing as Democratic socialism. There are lefties who are far left. When you have one party in total control of the government and they rig it to stay that way, that is socialism. This is what the US left want, total and complete power. With total and complete power, government control of everything, Democracy goes away. To think otherwise is naive.

I still youre mixing up socialism with politics. Socialism is just economic system. Its just that it doesnt work and its used as a tool by left and right to maintain power. Just more so by the left.
