The graphs below reveal the tricky spot Poilievre finds himself in. He can criticize the government all he wants but doesn't dare take it down.

The NDP voted against C-5 and the CPC voted for it, in part to prevent government collapse. Pierre is going to have to continue to support Carney's legislation in Parliamentary votes or trigger an election that would certainly result in a Liberal majority.

The graphs are August 24 - if an election were held now.

Early days but Carney looks good to me.
Got me back on board the federal Liberal Party.

Ditto. I haven't been this enthusiastic about the LPC since Chretien.

By far the most worrying thing about C-5 ATM is that it can allow for government projects/works to completely bypass any environmental assessment which the Conservatives are of course very happy with; definitely the worst sort of bipartisanship.

I liked Chretien! Might be the best PM in my lifetime.
I had hopes, at first, for Trudeau after the Ignatieff doldrums but he was a bigger disappointment than his old man, for slightly different reasons.
But yeah, so far Carney's looking good. Good things will come out of this European trip, I reckon.

Ignatieff who?

It was great to see Carney in Ukraine, expressing strong support for that country.

Go Liberals!

Canadians must be socialists, woke, ignorant and don't want to Make Canada Great Again.

Just waiting for the simple-minded to arrive and say something about Trudeau's black face or the taste of poutine.
