Ukraine holds Presidential elections next year. Whether there will be one is not certain; Zelensky has been making noises in some interviews about no elections under martial law. Ukraine is under martial law. So it is understandable if one is not held. Plus, if one is not held it can be blamed on Russians. Why even hold elections in the first place? Just as the sun, the moon and eleven stars worshipped Joseph, so also the US, the UK and 27 Eu countries have annointed Zelensky king of the western world; why should what the western world has annointed by challenged by Ukrainian voters?
Nevertheless, Ukraine, the best kleptocracy money can buy, will be holding Presidential elections next year. How are potential candidates faring?
The candidates of Russian ethnicity are out of the game. Their Parties have been banned. Their media have been banned. Their Churches have been banned. Their politicians have been arrested or chased into exile.
I have a soft spot for Dr Ironfist. Vitaly Klitschko, Mayor of Kyiv. A 6'7" inch giant of a man. The closest thing outside the ring to the Cold War Soviet machine Ivan Drago of Sylvester Stallone's Rocky IV. It is wise not to be trapped inside a ring with Dr Ironfist Klitschko, many foolhardy enough to dare did not survive the count. His record is 69 fights- 64 wins- 53 KOs- 5 loses. That is the man Zelensky doesnt want in the ring. But unfortunately Klitschko may have an iron fist, but he is not Zelensky's march when it comes to dirty politics. Dr Ironfist is far behind the Comedian in the race.
That leaves General in Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi if he cares to challenge the Pied Piper. General Zaluzhnyi is quite popular in his own rights. A solid Banderaman. That last point is important. Zelensky is a kind of Johnny come lately. His Bandera credentials are very shaky. Zelensky is in the Russian world what an oreo is in the world of African Americans- white inside, black outside. Zelensky is fluent in the wrong language, Russian; he speaks bad Ukrainian, which should not sit well with solid Banderans. In other words Zelensky is a late convert.
Maybe that is why in polls in Lviv Zelensky is lagging behind Bandera Gen Valerii Zaluzhnyi
