That's exactly how I feel about it! Things are rarely as bad as I expect, and then I'm very happy. And I'm rarely shocked when things are bad.

i'm hoping for better. this time last year, i was doing the same.
 
Oh...2021 is going to be MUCH worse than 2020.

If Trump is President, look for even MORE opposition from everyone, including ramped up violence in the streets. (Maybe even an assassination attempt or two.)

If Biden is President, look for all the Main Street gains to evaporate...and then some.

Most everybody on this site is a pessimist. I think you have to be if you dabble about in politics.

Well....i have a few takes

Personally, i know i wont have as good of a year in the market.....the best year i EVER had which is saying something....over my 40 years in the market

My business....it has to be better, otherwise it will be closing.....we were down to 52% of 2019's revenues due to no one travelling

I hope the vaccines take hold, and we get somewhat back to normal in this country

I wish everyone a safe and happy new year....
 

Just quit. Your sad little game is obvious. Nobody cares that you are playing a character of a person who actually thinks Trump might still win re-election. There is no way you are as stupid as that. But you do demonstrate the pattern of one who once pretended to be oblivious to what Trump did, which amounted to subtle support, to straight out turning radical for the piece of shit this year (2020) as he signaled the inevitable in November.

But, from Wall Street gains to Main Street gains, huh? Haven't seen that tactic yet. Unfortunately, because I actually do care about my country, Main Street wreckage has already occurred. Biden in inheriting a mess on every level. And like Obama, whatever he does will be more about an immediate reaction while the economic condition largely repairs itself. But, for you, declaring this truth threatens to shatter your idea that Trump waved a magic wand in 2017 to "fix" a good economy and ever-lowering unemployment. Partisan enslavement led you to a place where you are largely impotent.

After the chaos of this year, there is no way 2021 could be worse.
 
It will be the same. We will still be working from home. Stuff will still be locked down. I dont expect life to return to normal anytime soon.
 
I don't think 2020 could get much worse, (covid being the primary reason), so 2021 has to be better.

I've always seen my glass as half full though.
 
Have to hope that 2021 will be much better than 2020 was. So many people struggling and lots of loss this year.

Voted Better but it's not going to start out that way. IMO worse before better.

Of course, that's in great part my sadness and concern for the enormous # of Trump virus deaths still predicted. Those deaths and the deaths and suffering of those that couldnt get their own necessary health treatment.
 

trump leaves the White House in three weeks. That alone will make 2021 better.
 
The first couple of weeks will be determinative........
