Here's something interesting.
That's the north half of the tiny town of Pleasant Valley, NV. A couple miles south of Reno.
The bridge in the foreground is Interstate 580 and spans Galena Creek. I-580 is built into the mountainside. Winding down the center of the photo is US-395. The two huge berms that it splits are the Sierra Nevada on the left and the Virginia Range on the right. This is where these two mountain ranges converge
Looks like only a football field of separation at the closest point. Amazing and scenic.
