Re: McCain's Ooops Moment

Please take Christie with ya - I think he could give Hilda a run for her money in the '16 primary.

More like a slow walk. Runs are hard on the ankles.

Re: McCain's Ooops Moment

Not sure why a humorous mishap documented on a blog is being used to call for Mccain's exit, or the reasoning behind the continued dislike for Christie from the right in general and tea party types specifically. The movement has become a giant and largely politically illiterate burden on the GOP.

Re: McCain's Ooops Moment

I'd rather the divide in the Republican party be neocons' v libertarians than have liberals pretending they are Republicans.

By the way I consider myself more a neocon then a libertarian every day.

Why do you want the Republican Party to be only right wing?

That must be why you're so adamantly against Obama's continuance of policies set in place by neocons.

So do you agree with this:

I agree with your preference. There is no room in today's Republican party for moderates or even reasonable conservatives.

Re: McCain's Ooops Moment

Let's see. This year he....
voted for gun control
co-authored the "Gang of 8 Bill"
called GOP conservatives "wacko birds"
said he may vote for Hillary

No,it was not an oops.

Re: McCain's Ooops Moment

What I've gotten from this thread is if a Republican doesn't act bats**t insane, they must be a liberal Democrat.

Re: McCain's Ooops Moment

Its good to know the mass media campaign to make you think anything other than extreme left is some how "insane." They have to be getting something for their huge investment.

What I've gotten from this thread is if a Republican doesn't act bats**t insane, they must be a liberal Democrat.

The fact you think this country is "extreme left" shows a rather naive understanding of politics and/or this country. This country, on the whole, is quite conservative. But when simply working with the other side means someone is actually a liberal Democrat, that's insane.

SO let me see if I got this straight? McCain accidently opens the wrong door, and that means he's a crypto-Socialist?

Then this must make bush* a full-on Commie

Sounds pretty accurate to me.

Meh, it's hard for me to take this softened view from many of the ardent leftie partisans here as anything sincere. Being that in 2008 many likely saw McCain as a step below Cthulu on the evil scale.

Basically, this thread is nothing more than a bunch of partisan hacks pulling each other's cards

Re: McCain's Ooops Moment

Umm, I was talking about how Republicans seem to accuse anyone who might even consider working with Democrats as being RINOs who are actually liberal Democrats. It really has nothing to do with McCain.
