Please take Christie with ya - I think he could give Hilda a run for her money in the '16 primary.

I just wish he'd join the left already and let the Republican Party be the party of the right. I'm tired of RINO's pretending to be Republicans when they aren't. Please take Christie with ya - I think he could give Hilda a run for her money in the '16 primary.
Why do you want the Republican Party to be only right wing?
I'd rather the divide in the Republican party be neocons' v libertarians than have liberals pretending they are Republicans.
By the way I consider myself more a neocon then a libertarian every day.

Today's neo-conservatives unite around three common themes:
1. A belief deriving from religious conviction that the human condition is defined as a choice between good and evil and that the true measure of political character is to be found in the willingness by the former (themselves) to confront the latter.
2. An assertion that the fundamental determinant of the relationship between states rests on military power and the willingness to use it.
3. A primary focus on the Middle East and global Islam as the principal theater for American overseas interests. In putting these themes into practice, neo-conservatives:
1. Analyze international issues in black-and-white, absolute moral categories. They are fortified by a conviction that they alone hold the moral high ground and argue that disagreement is tantamount to defeatism.
2. Focus on the "unipolar" power of the United States, seeing the use of military force as the first, not the last, option of foreign policy. They repudiate the "lessons of Vietnam," which they interpret as undermining American will toward the use of force, and embrace the "lessons of Munich," interpreted as establishing the virtues of preemptive military action.
3. Disdain conventional diplomatic agencies such as the State Department and conventional country-specific, realist, and pragmatic, analysis. They are hostile toward nonmilitary multilateral institutions and instinctively antagonistic toward international treaties and agreements. "Global unilateralism" is their watchword. They are fortified by international criticism, believing that it confirms American virtue.

What I've gotten from this thread is if a Republican doesn't act bats**t insane, they must be a liberal Democrat.
The fact you think this country is "extreme left" shows a rather naive understanding of politics and/or this country. This country, on the whole, is quite conservative. But when simply working with the other side means someone is actually a liberal Democrat, that's insane. Its good to know the mass media campaign to make you think anything other than extreme left is some how "insane." They have to be getting something for their huge investment.

Umm, I was talking about how Republicans seem to accuse anyone who might even consider working with Democrats as being RINOs who are actually liberal Democrats. It really has nothing to do with McCain.Meh, it's hard for me to take this softened view from many of the ardent leftie partisans here as anything sincere. Being that in 2008 many likely saw McCain as a step below Cthulu on the evil scale.
Basically, this thread is nothing more than a bunch of partisan hacks pulling each other's cards
