The wife of a federal bankruptcy judge in Texas landed herself bars after she became enraged at a man playing bagpipes and assaulted the musician’s wife, according to authorities.
Eunice Isgur, 76, stands accused of assault with bodily injury, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 5. Deputies responded to a reported assault on May 26 at Terry Hershey Park in Houston. Isgur allegedly became enraged the man was playing bagpipes in a secluded area of the park. She confronted the man while recording on her phone and started yelling at him, per authorities.
Scott Gibb, the bagpiper, spoke with local ABC affiliate KTRK about the encounter.
“She said I had no right to play here in this public park,” recalled Gibb.
Isgur then invoked her husband, U.S. District Bankruptcy Judge Marvin Isgur of the Southern District of Texas, according to Gibb.
Isgur hired Ryan Patrick, the son of Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, as an attorney, per records. He did not return a request for comment.

I happen to like and enjoy bagpipe-playing/music, but I also know people who might get triggered at the sound of bagpipes. That said, no one has the right to assault the player.....

I find country music more offensive, but if I don't want to hear country music, I make myself scarce, not insist on the country music singer or band to stop playing country music.

Top ten signs that you need a doob :

7. Multiple angry encounters with random bagpipes players in parks.
This never happens in Scotland.

Assaulting a bagpipe player might be a violation of the law, but it is upholding the greater good of society.
Assaulting a bagpipe player is a violation because the time and effort should have been used to assault a yodeling Appalachian.
