    Yes...but if they are *already* busy treating someone with a cold when you walk into the ER, they will not be immediately available. You are better off if there's no one ahead of you. How is your party trying to get people to be seen early before they develop a serious condition?

    If the ER rooms are full...they're full. You might have to wait on others even if your issue is more serious. When people get sick, they need medical treatment. It's not reasonable to expect them not to go in and get it just because they don't have health insurance.

    It already is free. Just because you don't have health insurance doesn't mean that you can't get medical treatment. You just have to go to the ER to get it. The more uninsured patients there are, the longer you can expect your ER waiting times to be.

    Another thing...a flat tax has never worked anywhere in the world...at least not on a federal level. The countries that have flat taxes are third world countries...not members of the G8.
