    Degrees of caring

How has the time-honoured phrase "I couldn't care less" become corrupted into the nonsensical "I could care less"? You can only care less about an issue if you already care about it, and I assume this is not what the new phrase is intended to suggest. I'm all for change to language that...

    Homosexuality "unnatural" by natural law?

Simply in response to your irrational points. Two questions. 1: As far as I know, there is no other purpose for sperm than to pass genes to the next generation. 2: The only connection between sperm and climax is that sperm are often (but not always) ejected from the body at climax. When have I...

    Homosexuality "unnatural" by natural law?

No it isn't. reading through your posts on this subject it is quite clear that there is absolutely no meaning for "Natural Law" (NL) other than what you want it to mean. Your argument seems to be: ejaculation emits sperm sperm have the only purpose to fertilise an egg So far, no...

    Homosexuality "unnatural" by natural law?

I believe you'll find that both males and females produce pheromones. The hairs are there (and on the genitals) to increase the surface area from which the pheromones can evaporate. Shaving does not make pheromones disappear, it simply reduces the efficiency of distributing them.

    Homosexuality "unnatural" by natural law?

There is nothing wrong with looking to other creatures that have evolved along with us to gain insights into the forces that make us what we are. Human reason is just one of the forces that makes us what we are. You don't have to look far to see how our reason can fool us and temp us to ignore...

    Homosexuality "unnatural" by natural law?

You said: I point natural indications and you decide they do not fit the result you want, so you dismiss them. That is not reason; it seems more like religion. Far from it. I was not ignoring the claim - you are simply stating that to make it look like you are correct.

    Homosexuality "unnatural" by natural law?

Indeed it is, just as is sex between males in (probably most) mammal species. Likewise, simply because men use their penes for various sexual practices doesn't make any one of them "natural" or any "unnatural".

    Homosexuality "unnatural" by natural law?

We now see that your claim reduces to an issue of plumbing! You seem to be unaware that is it possible (with practice) for men to achieve orgasm without ejaculating. Male multiple orgasm If you are consistent, you must conclude that all male sex (homosexual or heterosexual) is unnatural...

    Homosexuality "unnatural" by natural law?

I would imagine that a neutral observer might not come to the same conclusion about the primary purpose of sex in humans. If we (probably under-) estimate the average frequency of intercourse as only once a week, (Human sexual behavior - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) we get about 50 a year...

    Is there a god?

Re: How can you be so certain? I assume by that you mean that you prayed for something and it happened. How many times have you prayed for something and it didn't happen? I would guess a great deal more often. Coincidences happen.

    UFOs "exist" says Japanese official.

Of course UFOs exist. There are objects that fly that have not been identified - but they don't last for long in that state as they quickly become identified. There is zero evidence for any extraterrestrial intelligence being involved.

Plane on a treadmill - revisited

You have yet to establish that the plane will not move. If it does not, then your conclusion is true. If the plane does move, your conclusion is false. You are assuming that the plane does not move because you think the belt moving backwards will prevent the plane from moving forwards. You must...

Plane on a treadmill - revisited

You miss the point. You are assuming the plane does not move, and you have no basis for that assumption. The question is really asking, can the plane achieve forward velocity (and hence airflow over the wings). This comes down to the question, can the treadmill generate enough reverse force to...

Plane on a treadmill - revisited

It has everything to do with the bearings. There are two opposing horizontal forces acting on the plane: the forward thrust from the engines and the rearward friction from the bearings and air resistance. It is clear from experience that when the treadmill belt is stationary (i.e., we're on a...

How the religion debate has changed.

Re: So what is your evidence? You have a choice. Either the universe is everything that there is or there is something extra. If it is everything then either it has always existed or it came into existence from nothing. If there is something in addition to the universe, then consider...
