    They're not, actually, but you'll have to explain to the class why you think cars supposedly being "necessary" is a reason we can't have stricter laws governing how people operate them.

    You're hilarious. Just a couple days ago I posted a story that never made the national news, about 5 people being killed in a crash in CA that easily could have been prevented by some more driving regulations. No one even bothered to respond.

    You can do something that is justified and necessary, and still not feel good about it. There's no contradiction. Just because someone is not qualified for their job doesn't mean they aren't human beings, or that you should never feel bad for them when they are laid off.
