    How about this. All semi-automatic rifles fire one bullet per trigger pull, just as all semi-automatic hand guns and shotguns do. The term "assault weapon" was coined by anti gun lobbyists in the late 1980s to mimmic "assault rifles", guns used by the military that are fully automatic rifles...
