Why I SUPPORT MILITARY STYLE WEAPONS ON THE STREETS OF THE USA

Of course they are, but that's how politicians operate. But like I said before, if there weren't thousands of gun deaths each year, there wouldn't be an issue. Claiming "this is just a culture war!" is a frustrating way to react which in no way gets to the heart of the problem.

I skimmed parts, read your post, realized you weren't even responding to what I had typed, and brushed it off. I'm not going to waste time with an off target response.

    I don't drink that kool-aid, no.

You're not really understanding my points, except when I say that more guns doesn't prevent crime. You have a couple anecdotes (there are far more examples of gun owners being killed by their own guns) and an editorial. Not exactly scientifically compelling evidence to say that less crime...

Which is why advocating for stronger and stronger prohibition of guns is a complete waste of time. It's the wrong tactic. It's a socioeconomic problem, not a gun ownership problem.

Can't wait to see a free market for bioweapons and nukes.

Virtually no correlation between the number of guns and the number of violent gun crimes. So, more guns doesn't solve the problem. Getting rid of guns is utterly impractical and doesn't solve the problem either.

Challenge accepted (because you really expected guns to prevent every other violent crime?)

    Stalker?

Though your action does sound risky, you were the best judge of your situation at the time and felt confident enough to act, and likely may have solved the problem. Playing it safe, even if the guy was just a shy admirer or a completely disinterested stranger, is a no lose situation.

    Stalker?

"Creepy" is a genuine instinctive response our brains have evolved to account for unusual human behavior. We pick up on hundreds of nonverbal, contextual communication cues from people in every interaction, and though they're not perfect, these snap judgements are accurate often enough to keep...

Well... It's hard for me to believe that if there weren't thousands of gun related murders each year, gun control would still be a major issue. No, I'm pretty certain that crime control is the primary objective, people have simply gotten obsessed with an understandable red herring: the guns...

I think you're right. I think gun control advocates haven't come up with nearly creative enough solutions to our truly horrendous gun crime problem. They way most pursue their goals forces honest gun owners to remain on the defensive, when we should really be enlisting their help in order to...

Well if there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that more guns equals less gun crimes. Am i right? Not at all. But here's the twist: more guns doesn't reduce gun crimes either. WHOA! It's like an M. Night Shyamalan movie. I love nothing more than taking the third side of a false dichotomy.
