Why It’s Absolutely Christian To Swiftly Deport All Illegal Migrants

huh. Sounds like I guessed right about how we all agree that we want to deport some law-breakers and keep others. Now we're changing the subject from the overall goals to current policy and my guess now is that you don't know yet if current policies are correct. That should also mean that...

Why It’s Absolutely Christian To Swiftly Deport All Illegal Migrants

So please confirm that we are now all in agreement w/ current policy, given the fact that only "some" and not all law-breakers were deported.

Why It’s Absolutely Christian To Swiftly Deport All Illegal Migrants

The protester had a sign that said "Cursed is anyone who denies justice to immigrants --Deuteronomy 27:19". However the KJV has it as.. "Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen." (from here). My next thought was...

The Proportion Of Taxes Paid By The Rich Is Less Than Wealth Inequality

Seems you're right. It's always a lot easier --and more fun-- to just skip all the numbers'n'things and just wave arms yelling "ain't it awful".

The Proportion Of Taxes Paid By The Rich Is Less Than Wealth Inequality

If you get a chance, is there some way you could share how you know when the a population is suffering more? Is is a simple measurable metric like net worth or income? Is it some kind of feeling? Is it polling data on happiness?

Stock Market Tanks as Trump Unveils Nightmare Cabinet Picks

You don't think that people have that opinion? Whether you think they're right or wrong has nothing to do w/ it. There are people w/ that opinion and this is a reality you must deal with.

Stock Market Tanks as Trump Unveils Nightmare Cabinet Picks

Huh. You found "an idiotic and wrong post" to be worth engaging. My take is that our convo has outlasted it's usefulness. Cheers.

Stock Market Tanks as Trump Unveils Nightmare Cabinet Picks

That's another opinion. Yet another opinion is that first, stocks always to better w/ Republicans than with Democrats and second, you're wrong. My personal take is that both opinions may be politically motivated and have negligible predictive value. Also, more relevant issues include the...

Stock Market Tanks as Trump Unveils Nightmare Cabinet Picks

He did? Huh, somehow I thought Biden never admitted defeat until the end after a year of problems. Why would he make such an announcement at the beginning of his problems and not at the end? Maybe I'll just add your post to may growing list of things I don't understand...

The human cost of mass deportations

No argument from me on how it can be applied in some cases, but somehow my take is that there's such a huge difference between a drug bust case to the city D.A. and the president of the U.S.. The U.S. is one of the most forbearing nations w/ immigration, if not the most. The big concern here...

The human cost of mass deportations

Interesting, I can't remember that part in the constitution. I can remember Obama refusing to enforce certain laws he thought were unconstitutional but to me that seemed a bit dodgy.

Annual Interest on Debt Surpasses $1 Trillion

Fascinating. Then again, I'd have thought that the question would be instead whether the tax burden was that much LOWER than what we had during the 1950's. Apparently they're not.

The absurdity of climate change denialists

Interesting. The context I'm seeing is that some allege the earth's ice caps are melting impelling a world wide rise in sea levels. They do not consider their worries to be "abstract!". You've mentioned that before and while I imagine there's always some link that will back that up, my...

The human cost of mass deportations

Under the U.S. constitution the congress makes the laws and the president enforces them. If the law requires deportation and someone doesn't like that, then their gripe should be with their congressperson and not w/ the president. Whatever we do, we must obey our laws.
