    I come from country folk. They are not doing anything that an EV couldn’t do either. Most country folk are also just driving to work and getting groceries.

    1) People are buying more and more SUVs and pickups that are in and often exceed that price bracket. There are a fewer and fewer gas powered cars in the budget price bracket too. And EV prices will decrease overtime. 2) It does though, as long as you are not driving deep into the backwoods...

    It is very practical for most people. What exactly are most people doing that makes them impractical? Most people just use their cars to go to work and buy groceries. Why can’t that be done with an EV?

    How are they years/decades away from practical? They are already being used by everyday people in their day to day lives, they are already practical for many. I can’t leave my apartment without seeing a Tesla.
