Should women be allowed to fight on the front line?

I voted 'other' since I don't think all men and women are equal in ability. But. I do believe women (and men) who can handle the job should be given equal opportunity to do so. As long as they aren't 'dumbing' the requirements to allow women the position just to be 'fair' then, by all means, yes.

Is it now time for America to bomb England in the name of freedom, justice, peace ?

I ask this question... I understand you being upset. I hear the anger in your voice at those who would invade other countries. I'm wondering...WHY AREN'T YOU UPSET AND DIRECTING THE ANGER TO THOSE THAT INVADED YOU...THE TERRORISTS. WHY ARE YOU NOT PUTTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS...

Iraqi war tantamount to swatting flies

You can say that again! Unfortunately, we keep doing it and doing it. Even the tsunami relief...they put tariffs that were never there before so they could collect money for themselves. Bottomless pits.

Iraqi war tantamount to swatting flies

The poor countries that we are giving funds to are investing in our country? I'm not sure I understand what you are talking about. Lets say the guy making 600K a year and donates 1500 per year also employs 20 people enabling them to take care of themselves. :) That was my point. In...

Iraqi war tantamount to swatting flies

Again, percentage wise of the GNI it looks like we don't do enough. BUT look at the dollar figures and you will see we are quite a bit ahead of other countries. Edit: It also does not take into account the income that is derived within the country from investments we make there. Which if you...

http://www.globalissues.org/TradeRelated/Debt/USAid.asp Here are the facts and figures in graph form if anyone is interested. You will see that the private sector in the US is also extremely generous. Besides the military backing that we give (which we get criticized for but are always called...

    government in marriage

See, now this is where I get confused. Let's just say, for arguments sake that the government starts calling what is now known as marriage, civil unions. They regulate civil unions. The church marries people. So...a church marries a couple. They do not have any more rights as far as the...

    government in marriage

Yes, BUT. The question was about the government being in marriage and they should call it something else. The government calls it marriage. Doesn't the church call it sanctioning the marriage, which is the religious end of it? So, the government can call it civil union but the church...

    government in marriage

I'm not sure what the difference is if you call it something else. It still means the same thing. And we get the same tax advantages/incentives if we get married in a church or by a justice of the peace. So, what difference could it possibly make if they call it a civil union? Churches can...
