    I guess Eisenhower was a left-wing extremist then, because he called the conservatives who later rallied around Goldwater and Reagan "stupid." Ever heard of the New Deal? Or the government intervention that put people to work in World War II? Both contributed to getting us out of the Depression.

    I don't mind tax cuts on the middle class and the working class. I do raise my eyebrows when people say that cutting corporate taxes and the taxes of the top 1 percent wealthiest Americans "stimulates the economy."

    Reagan was "good" if you look at it from the perspective that he was very effective at selling his agenda and manipulating the media. But in terms of policy, his ideas were the beginning of the age of conservatism wrecking of America. So in that respect, he was a bad President.
