The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans

Yeah, he's trash. I really wonder how this particular guy guy was added to the chat. It seems a little off.
:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

Waltz already admitted that he added Goldberg by accident.

Funny how you're willing to give a National Security Advisor a total pass on inviting a journalist to a chat group with top Administration officials, which distributes details about military operations, but... you're attacking the journalist for reporting on it? WTF.

The scummiest of journalists too!

You dropped a key word out of your first sentence.
Probably because you are apoplectic because no one has yet been fired.
Maybe you forgot but it’s the Republican Party looking to fire government and getting giddy about it. This sounds like a perfect opportunity.

@Paradoxical is the only person who can't find the full texts even though they're posted on this forum, the news and even Twitter.

Even Fox...

But @Paradoxical can't find them.
That is because he blocks so many people, so he can only see what he agrees with...

Ignorance...

You do realize that the two points aren't mutually exclusive?
What I realize is that your initial attempted defense was total bullshit.

Signal has been used in the Government for a long time, it didn't start with this administration.
Signal hasn't been approved for non-public DoD information since 2023.

Unmanaged 'messaging apps,' including any app with a chat feature, regardless of theprimary function, are NOT authorized to access, transmit, process non-public DoDinformation. This includes but is not limited to messaging, gaming, and social mediaapps. (i.e., iMessage, WhatsApps, Signal). An Exception to Policy (E2P) request must besubmitted by the appropriate Component for use of an unmanaged messaging app that iscritical to fulfilling mission operations at https://rmfks.osd.mil/dode2p.

The NSA also warned its staff about vulnerabilities in Signal:

We also still don't know if these people were using Signal on their government or personal phones.

We also know the chat was set to be deleted after 4 weeks, which is a violation of the Federal Records Act.

We're not talking about people checking availability for a meeting.

Being given a tool like Signal doesn't mean you should use Signal.

Being told "don't use Signal for non-public DoD information" means that "you shouldn't use Signal to transmit non-public DoD information."

No top secret material. How much experience do you have dealing with Top Secret material? Because I can assure you from your claim that you don't know what it looks like.
:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Yes, the US Navy routinely tells the New York Times that it's going to launch F-16s at 1345 ET.

Shut the front door. You're not convincing anyone with such blatant lies.

If we assume this is TS material (it isn't) it wouldn't be a leak, it would be more likely called a spillage (inadvertant versus willful).
:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

It depends on the nature of the data. You simply ignorantly believe that since you read "F-18" and "Cruise Missile" that you have detailed war plans. You don't.
What I read were specific details about which planes were launching in 2 hours. I also read that they were able to confirm that one of their key targets (Houthi's "top missile guy" was at his girlfriend's house, and that it collapsed due to the bombing.

The idea that this isn't top secret is completely insane.

Yes, I am serious.
I don't think you are.

Again, announcing a mission in advance is not necessarily a breach of classification. As I've already pointed out, knowing the attack is coming and being able to do anything about it are two separate things.
Again, this is a gigantic load of bullshit.

Holding people accountable for leaks of TS material, including posting it on unmanaged and unauthorized apps, isn't based on whether "something went wrong." If you had anything remotely like the knowledge you claim, you'd know that.

Instead, all we get is another round of the most morally depraved apologia imaginable.

What I realize is that your initial attempted defense was total bullshit.

This is false. Biden's CISA guidance from 2024 explicitly encouraged the use of Signal.

So you don't realize that the two statements aren't mutually exclusive.

This is false. Biden's CISA guidance from 2024 explicitly encouraged the use of Signal.

what is today's DOD rule?

Signal is just the latest in a long line. The Biden administration CISA guidelines from last year explicitly encouraged the use of Signal:
Sigh... Yet more bullshit.

They never said you should use it for TS or sensitive information. In fact, that very same document says that "Highly targeted individuals should assume that all communications between mobile devices—including government and personal devices—and internet services are at risk of interception or manipulation," and that they should use government-provided secure communications whenever possible.

Oh, and the DoD specifically said in 2023 not to use Signal for non-public DoD information.

And the NSA warned staff not to use Signal a month before the attack.

But hey, any port in a storm, right?

This is why Trump said the other day he would prefer a room with lead walls and ceilings. When you have Trump hating assassins proliferating the MSM like Goldberg, he has a point.

Trump hating assassins.

Okay. That is one way to characterize the situation. However blaming the reporter is like blaming the ocean for sinking your little boat when everyone told you not to go out in the little boat.

There are rules to how you handle classified information. The people in the chat didn’t follow those rules. I mean, at this point you are blaming the camera for recording the planning of a bank robbery.

This is false. Biden's CISA guidance from 2024 explicitly encouraged the use of Signal.

I have the document on my screen. It is NOT referring to any TS or sensitive military information. In fact, it's only referring to departments that

Here's the part that you conveniently left out:
Organizations may already have these best practices in place, such as secure communication platforms and multifactor authentication (MFA) policies. In cases where organizations do not, apply the following best practices to your mobile devices.

So yeah... That guidance wasn't for the VP, Secretary of Defense, National Security Advisor, DNI and so on.

Yet again, stop lying, kthx.

\When you have Trump hating assassins proliferating the MSM like Goldberg, he has a point.

F that.

You're not going to blame this on Goldberg. He did nothing wrong and he acted with the utmost professionalism.

This is all on the Trump's people and particularly Hegseth.

They should take full responsibility for this. They need to act like grown men and acknowledge what they did was wrong.

The Espionage Act, the law that often has been used in criminal cases involving leaks or mishandling of classified information, contains a provision making it crime to disclose national defense secrets “through gross negligence.”

The law does not require that the information be classified, because it was written before the classification system existed. The law refers simply to “national defense information.”

The specific provision reads: “(e) whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blue print, plan, map, model, note, or information, relating to the national defense, through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be list, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $10,000, or by imprisonment for not more than two years, or both.”

This didn't happen. He was invited. You can't even get this right.

but HOW did that happen ?

why didn't they invite you? me?

why was an anti-Trump hate monger invited? its an important question

Ask Walz. He obviously had the reporter's v-card on his phone.

Waltz already admitted that he added Goldberg by accident.

I'm just attacking the journalist because he is a piece of trash.

Nope. An operation that went off with no hitches where all bad guys are marked off the list and all US warfighters returned to base safely is not gross incompetence.
I'm waiting to read your post once the smokescreen clears.

Never mind actually.

Can't wait that long I'm afraid. Pressed for time and all that.
