Honestly after thinking about it i sorta hate them.

The fact they can be hit or miss for me, makes me look lazy and stupid to the uneducated from past experience.
 
I like your idea here, but it needs work. I think the "best interest," and "according to the majority," is too difficult to distinguish, and unnecessary if we can define delegates as temporary and limited.

Well actually that's the way it's supposed to work. Representatives are supposed to do what they think is best for the people who elected them
Though modern political parties do tend to be well disciplined - though the GOP is somewhat chaotic right now and can't seem to represent a single right wing demographic.

In the Constitution is says that you have the right to bear arms. To "bear" them, that means the right to carry them. But the supreme court took that right away. We are also supposed to have freedom of speech in this country. Though the supreme court decided that private entities such as forum like this where people communicate with each other don't have to allow people freedom of speech. But if freedom of speech doesn't apply everywhere, it may as well apply nowhere. Also, do you have the freedom to get married in this country? No. You have to pay for a marriage license. Do you have the right to fish or hunt? No. You have to pay for a fishing or hunting license. Do you have the right to drive? No. You have to pay for a drivers license. (Among other things) Do you have the right to own property? No. You have to pay taxes on any property you have. There are probably other things. But that is all that is coming to mind right now.

Though when it comes to taxes, one of the principles our country was founded on was "No taxation without representation." But the average person has no representation in government. Politicians are bought and paid for by the wealthy. Which means that it isn't a democracy either. To be a true democracy, those in government would have to be placed in office by lottery. Also, do you have the right to smoke? Basically, no. Unless you can pay for them. Or you have waste time to roll your own. That is due to taxes. The government taxes the hell out of cigarettes. But it is a punitive tax meant to force people to quit smoking. Though a punitive should not be illegal. The cigarette tax is just another means of taxing the poor more than anybody else. A long time ago in England they used to have a tax on windows. Though this wasn't meant to keep people from having windows. (But for many or possibly most, that is the effect it had) How screwed up is a tax on daylight!
The right to free speech means the government can't infringe on your right to free speech. Telling this forum they are required to allow any and all types of speech would be government infringing on liberty. The point of the constitution is to keep the government from oppressing people. People are allowed to do whatever they want and if you don't like it you can post in a different forum. (not "you" specifically, but any poster).
The idea is to keep the government out of individual's lives as much as possible, regardless of how much power that individual appears to have.
 
And if the government banned things that were bad for you, you'd be in here telling us about the government was a nanny state making those things worse by fostering black markets selling unsafe products.

If you mean British and Postcolonial Studies 1700 to the Present, then that would be commended as a truly dedicated commitment. I know from my many years in Washington DC, Geo. Washington U has this program and that it is a strong one. Plus you capitalize English which many MagaMericans don't know to do, that the name of a language (and country) is always capitalized.

Yes and long ago in fact I visited the Archives to view the original Constitution document hermetically sealed as it were in a glass encasement. With a Federal Protection Service officer standing at the entranceway. It was quite the experience.

Visited Mt. Vernon and Washington's tomb across the Potomac, several times. The ceilings inside the mansion that are low to us reminds us the people were shorter then. All the same the low ceilings and small rooms are not like a cottage in England where fireplace heat could be concentrated in the cold and damp climate. In Washington DC 8 months of the year are warm, hot and then broiling plus the wicked humidity. Accordingly, the rooms at Mt. Vernon are larger than the typical English cottage to include lots of windows up there on the breezy bluff and its overview of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

I am self taught, my greatest accomplishments in that , is once i left my void, and started debating, i found out many concepts i conceived, were already a concept;a wast of time? No, propper study would colour my ideas and narrow my thinking.


Debate showed a lot of my flaws from that time over the years.

I started in Ernest at fifteen with theology and phycology, history has been my interest from six, but at the time mentioned, i also started my foruse on American history.

If you look at the post itself you will see the time it was posted, and then you will know when the post is from. If I believe things that people used to believe, it is because I believe in keeping the beliefs alive that make sense, regardless of whether they are old fashioned.
