George Zimmerman, who has been in hiding since he was acquitted of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin, emerged to help rescue someone who was trapped in an overturned truck, police said today.
Sanford Police Department Capt. Jim McAuliffe told ABC News that Zimmerman "pulled an individual from a truck that had rolled over" at the intersection of a Florida highway last week. Florida Highway Patrol is now handling the case, McAuliffe said.
The crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route 417, police said.

Rather selfless given the fact that a number of people in the area want him dead.
 
I hope this person was a black teenager which would blow the minds of all the race baiters. Anyway, this should be something covered heavily in the media since they created the Zimmerman story to begin with...

President Obama, Al Sharpton... et al. Care to comment? Oh OK, I didn't thing so.
 
Glad to hear of any citizen who does this sort of thing. Good for Zimmerman.

But our loser in charge said we should honor the thug he shot in self defense, and I never heard that loser suggest Mr. Zimmerman should get to enjoy his life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
 
To put this in perspective: Zimmerman performed that rescue under more of a sniper threat than Hilary Clinton has ever experienced.
 
Z obviously ran the truck off the road and then attempted a cover-up.
 
Funny how 2/3's of the article has nothing to do with the rescue, and is all about the case and it's aftermath.

I was hoping to see more details about his part in the rescue.

I'm pretty sure Zimmerman haters and thug TM lovers are sure to be marching soon to ask for an investigation into the car crash where Zim rescued the driver of an overturned pickup?

Was he following the guy?
Stalking him?
Why didn't he stay in his vehicle?
And worst of all....was he talking to the 911 operator while driving!

Less than a week after he was acquitted in the murder of Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman emerged from hiding to help rescue someone who was trapped in an overturned vehicle, police said.

Sanford police Capt. Jim McAuliffe told ABC News on Monday that Mr. Zimmerman “pulled an individual from a truck that had rolled over” at the intersection of a Florida highway last week, less than a mile from where the shooting of Trayvon occurred.

It’s the first known sighting of Mr. Zimmerman since he left the courtroom a free man on July 13.

2 parents 2 children in vehicle happened last Wed... GZ drove away shortly after police arrived... Now let the left continue to claim it was likely staged

Apples and oranges, let's not spend too many pages arguing whether or not if someone does something good that they therefore never did anything bad in a previous totally unrelated situation.

I think not guilty was the correct verdict but this has nothing to do with that trial.
 
Let me guess.....the Koch brothers staged the whole thing, he never would have stopped if they were black, he shot 4 black people who were trying to get to the scene first and Ben Jealous is arranging a protest march.
