Your favorite sports? (and why)

but a lot of the time, its easier to catch a sea fish like that than it is to hook a 3 pound rainbow trout in a little creek on a fly rod.
I used to do a lot of inland fishing as a kid and will say patience is definitely a virtue in that particular sense, but it trips me out to hear that deep sea fish are easier to attract, I bow to your experience.
as a life long deep sea fisherman-just turned fly fisherman, fishing is a sport no matter what you're going for.
Wish I'd made that point myself actually, say, did you hear about the record breaker for a catfish? I believe it was in the Yellow river valley in China and weighed something like 8-9 hundred pounds.

My two favorite sports are soccer and baseball.

There is nothing in the planet that matches the passon of soccer. The skill, patience and teamwork required to put together the right ingredients to score the precious goal results in an almost orgasmic feeling. The passon of the fans of the game, especially in some of the traditional rivalries like Argentina-Brazil; Germany-Italy, etc and some of the new ones (few rivalries are as intense nowaways as USA-Mexico) make this an incredible sport.

Baseball is a thinking man's game. What pitch will he throw? Will he try to steal. Bunt? Hit and run? Squeeze play? All of this is a battle of wits between coaches as well as between players. Who can outguess whom. And the fans have the chance to guess and plot it out themselves before it happens. It is a great game. Doesn't quite have the passion of soccer, but it has endearing qualities all its own.

College basketball....University of North Carolina! (2004-2005 National Champs!)
College football..... University of North Carolina!

1. Boxing. Most demanding. There is no question it´s the hardest sport there is! Talking about professionals, not olympics...where You don´t get points for bodyshots that drop the opponent!
2. Rowing. Same reason, without opponent beating You up. Muscles get very sore.
3. CrossCountry Skiing. All muscles at full work. Total cardiovascular condition needed.
4. Tour De France. Tour De Lance.
5. Track and Field. (athletics here). Most beautiful females. Perfect black butts.
658. Tennis. You call it sport? take a watch in Your hand. 3,5 hours and actual playing about 15 minutes. 2 seconds to serve and 1 minute replacing their pants and cleaning sweat off the body.
6200. Soccer. Would be number 6 but it´s nothing but acting and fishing a freekick. Rules are from Dark Ages.

Rugby's definately my favorite. So much fun, so little stopping.
I've played football, soccer, and rugby. All are great sports to play. I hear rugby's the best to watch (from people around me), but I don't really know. Don't watch a lot of sports, it just makes me want to go play.

I played some baseball and basketball earlier in my youth. Never got to far into that.

Rugby's just so much fun.

greco roman/ freestyle wrestling
MMA fighting

Randy Couture was the high school wrestling coach for a rival school in my league when I wrestled. That's intimidation to have a current(at the time he was currently) UFC champion as your coach.

Hockey, I loves to play me some hockey.

I remember one time against a friend of mine we played and I scored the final goal just a second before the game was up. He was so humiliated, and, he being American and me being born in the USSR, I yelled "OH YEAAHH IT'S 1980 OLYMPICS REVERSED!". Haha.

But yes, Hockey is my favorite sport.

Boxing. It is not only a tough and sometimes dangerous sport but it also shows character and when the two guys in the ring are active, it can get very very very exciting.

I like all sports really. I like playing them all. But I only like watching baseball, basketball, football, and racing. The others I would rather play.

I like watching basketball. Even though I'd enjoy a good game of b-ball, picking up the TV remote is enough exersize for me!:2razz:
