Your dream burger

That's approaching gyro town (or actually gobit...i think thats the term), but is pretty close. America typically uses beef in its doner, but I prefer lamb.

lamb is greater

I like everything you said. I personally, would pass on the bread for a binder though. never needed a binder for patties.

Also, I absolutely LOVE having chopped onion mixed in with meat so it cooks with the meat.

Other than that - if you start the burgers, I'll bring the beer!!!!

Adding finely chopped onion and/or green pepper to the ground beef, besides adding flavor, helps keep the patty moist.

Okay Princess, let's try to enlighten you shall we?

"Burger" is short for "hamburger". I know this in and of itself is a little confusing since the typical "burger" is never made from ham.

A "burger" is ground meat. Usually ground beef, but can also be a mix of other meats or animals. Ground venison for instance is still "burger".

What you posted a picture of is a sandwich. Not a burger. I know, there's no sand in your creation, but seriously, that's a sandwich.

It's really just a salad on a roll.

dont get lost in details ,this is a fun thread ,hamburger becomes veggie burger here.bon apetit

Pics please

My perfect burger is made on the grill by me while I'm having an ice cold beer. Since it's still too cold to grill - even without the ice cold beer - I can't give you a picture just yet. Give me a month or two.

In the meantime said perfect burger will made with beef, pork and veal in a ratio of 2:1:1 and will be topped with cheddar cheese. It's then eaten outside in the company of friends and family.

connery ,welcome back!

lean beef , minced garlic, diced onion, diced pepper, cooked to medium with raw onion and ciabatta roll.

yes that is fushger

I enjoy a great fish sandwich as much as the next guy. From the catfish po'boy to the fancy salmon sandwich. But they are sandwiches. Burgers require a patty made from ground mammal. Not even a turkey burger is a burger....it's just a lie.

I started it to lie

I started it to lie

Obviously, that comment was tounge-in-cheek. Still a fish sandwich is a sandwich, not a hamburger.
