Okay. I was labeled as radical almost nearly as soon as I logged in for the first time. I don't think I am, but crazy people don't think they're crazy either, so you tell me.

The issues and where I stand

War - I don't like war one bit, I don't want people to die because some guys in power can't get a long or one or both are just a-holes. But I understand that war is a necessary evil that has to happen occasionally. I support the war on terror but I have some reservations about the rationale used to create a new front in Iraq.

Torture - Torture is wrong, there is no justification for it.

The Patriot Act - I have to admit that I don't understand it fully and don't comment on it much. I don't like hearing that a person could be held for 6 months before being charged or allowed to call a lawyer.

Wire Tapping - I like my privacy and I don't have anything to hide. It really doesn't bother me. Just wish the law regarding the issue was clear enough for it to not be an issue.

Abortion - I am pro-choice and I don't think there's anything that could change that.

Death Penalty - I support the death penalty for confessed rapists and killers provided that the evidence matches the confession.

Homosexuality and Gay Marriage - I have 2 gay brothers. I love them and I will support them through thick and thin even if god himself comes down here and starts hurling lighting bolts. They nor any of their friends have ever done anything to harm me or mine. I do think that the gay community jumped the gun on the right to marry. If they had waited another decade it probably wouldn't have been so controversial. Though I do understand the urgent need to have your life partner be able to make medical decisions for you if you or other family can't or won't.

Economy - Same as it ever was; up then down then up etc. etc. I don't like blaming or crediting presidents for the economy when it's folks like you and me who run it.

The Budget - It's the government's deal, politicians from all parties are responsible for it. Higher taxes or cut funding or both, but they can't agree because we have to take care of our elderly educate, our children and keep the military well equipped... I just wonder what the heck happened to Bush's campaign platform from 2000 where he wanted a smaller, nimbler army and to skip a generation of weapons technology in order to be more advanced than we already are.

Environment - The environment is not in good shape, the climate is changing as we speak. That's not to say that humans won't adapt. But I'm not looking forward to the extreems we could be facing and no, I haven't seen Al Gore's movie.

Gun Control/Ownership rights - I'm all for people being able to own rifles and pistols but I don't see the need for an AK-47 in the hands of a civilian.

Religion - I am not religious, I muddle my way through Taoism and other spiritual philosophies. I recently started reading the Bible and next will be Plato's Republic then Ovid's Metamorphasis. I believe people should worship what and how ever they want, provided they don't try to kill me for not believing with them. And I sure don't like people using religion to justify their own greedy or hateful means.

Well that's all I can think of right now... Vote away!:2wave:

I've been accused of being a crazy whacked out liberal fanatic, drinkiing the Kool Aid, as well as being accused of being a neocon, anti-science, and radical right wing conservative. The best is when you're accused of being a NAZI which isn't as rare as you'd think.

Liberal. I agree in ten years it won't be an issue but that will be a result of many years of "forcing" the issue and having kids grow up hearing about it.

Economy - Same as it ever was; up then down then up etc. etc. I don't like blaming or crediting presidents for the economy when it's folks like you and me who run it.

I think 9/11 happened. But I'll grade you as moderate on this as well despite the stab at Bush.

Environment - The environment is not in good shape, the climate is changing as we speak. That's not to say that humans won't adapt. But I'm not looking forward to the extreems we could be facing and no, I haven't seen Al Gore's movie.

Moderate and no one has seen Gore's movie.

Overall you are mostly moderate with a slight lean towards liberal and perhaps a bit desperate for attention. I didn't see any evidence of radicalism.
