you’ll be amazed how similar it is!

Trump obviously knows that win or lose this is huge, and was there to make a statement regardless. Britain went out, but he was in Scotland who remained in.

He understands the importance of visibility. He can't lose with this issue. The elite multicultural, multi nationalists were shown the door by a bunch of pissant citizens.

Meanwhile, back at Sillywallow,D.C. Hillary and Obama are pouting.

Did you know that renovating a golf course is like renovating a nation?

In a way, Mr. Trump, who has never seemed entirely comfortable with the rigors of running for president, appeared more at ease on the ninth hole of Trump Turnberry — just past the mustard-trim lighthouse, with stunning views of the Irish Sea — chatting with reporters about his hotel (“built to the absolute highest standards of luxury” and his course (“built to the absolute highest standards of tournament golf”) as the sun melted through the clouds.

At one point, Mr. Trump even compared his renovation of Trump Turnberry to how he is hoping to overhaul the United States as president. When a reporter pointed out — correctly — that a country is hardly a golf course, Mr. Trump replied: “No it’s not, but you’ll be amazed how similar it is. It’s a place that has to be fixed.”

How similar it is? That's like saying "you'll be amazed at how similar driving an 18 wheeler is to driving a tricycle".

This man is a disgrace. He is making a mockery of us. And only a ****ing selfish beast like Trump would be ballsy enough to drone on about how Brexit is going to benefit his personal ****ing golf course.

Donald Trump, in Scotland, Calls ‘Brexit’ Result ‘a Great Thing’ - NYTimes.com

Who exactly is he offending that you care so much about? And do you think those people previously thought the world of our politicians?

Yeah. It seems the left would learn a few things about the failures of socialism, but they don't, it's a shame. They keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. I mean, there's Greece, Venezuela, Cuba...

Anywho, why are people so frightened of DJT?
Doesn't it seem like they always like to foist this "meme" on the right of being fear mongers, scaring people all the time in an effort to get the "stupid", the "low standard" and gibberish believing supporters of a Trump, or in the past a GW/Cheney, a Reagan...etc on and on ad nauseam ... and yet here they are speaking gibberish and inspiring fear of the oh oh sooooOOOOOooo terrible billionaire that has actually built things, created and managed businesses, dealt with the overarching government bureaucracies and has been, OMG!!! successful.

Run, scatter, hide your daughters, its its its HIM, he's coming to destroy us all... what a horde of hypocritical, low brow and self-deceiving clowns... they really are kinda funny if you squint just right and don't take them too too seriously.

Tres doesn't like Trump and she's made that clear, but she has always offered good reasons.
And whenever someone goes off the deep end in their criticisms of Trump she called attention to it.

So my only point in my comments on this thread was made in the same spirit.

Both the NYT and Hollywood Reporter reporters mentioned that one thing about Trump and BREXIT that clearly was suggesting he had never heard of the England referendum on the EU.
That was obviously not true and when journalists include mistakes, intentional or otherwise, like that in their pieces it's easy for the reader to dismiss them as hit pieces ... regardless of whatever facts are wrapped around those errors.

So it's better to report only information that can be supported.
They didn't bother to do that.

From the linked piece ...
"Early in June, Mr. Trump did not even know what Brexit referred to, and as recently as Wednesday, he said that his opinion on the referendum was insignificant because he had not been following the issue closely."

from May 5th ...

"Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, has come out in support of Brexit, saying the UK would be “better off” outside of the European Union and lamenting the consequences of migration in the continent.

The billionaire, who secured the backing of Republican voters on a staunchly anti-immigration platform, said that his support for the UK leaving the EU was a personal belief and not a “recommendation”.

“I think the migration has been a horrible thing for Europe,” Trump told Fox News late on Thursday. “A lot of that was pushed by the EU. I would say that they’re better off without it, personally, but I’m not making that as a recommendation. Just my feeling.”"
- Donald Trump says Obama shouldn't have taken sides on 'Brexit' vote onn June 23rd | Daily Mail Online

So either Ashley Parker of the NYT is lying or just deceptive when she doesn't need to be.
That's what's so disturbing about Trump media coverage.
Stick to facts, there's plenty there.

The Brexit migration question related to the free movement of European workers within Europe. Europe will require it as part of any deal we subsequently make. European migrants are outnumbered by non-European migrants, who are not affected by leaving Europe. Trump obviously didn't muslim invaders grasp that

Interview with Trump published on June 1.

"And Brexit? Your position?" I ask.

"Huh?"

"Brexit."

"Hmm."

"The Brits leaving the EU," I prompt, realizing that his lack of familiarity with one of the most pressing issues in Europe is for him no concern nor liability at all.

"Oh yeah, I think they should leave."

Maybe he needs a little help focusing if he knew what it was on 5/5 but had to be reminded what it was on 6/1.

The Donald Trump Conversation: Politics' "Dark Heart" Is Having the Best Time Anyone's Ever Had - Hollywood Reporter

That isn't a good fact for Trump right there.

Or maybe it was because of what was stated in the opening words of the piece you linked to:

"The long day is ending for Donald Trump with a pint of vanilla Haagen-Dazs ice cream"

I recognize you detest the guy, but ignoring the possibility it was a long day, and his mind may have been elsewhere, doesn't add credibility to the claim that someone who just completed renovations on a $100+ million business venture in the heart of Brexit country, doesn't have a clue about the politics going on there.

Only the Left and GOP establishment Illuminati elitists.

I guess some GOP'ers will be voting for The Queen of Corruption.

Is there a point buried in that somewhere?

You demonstrate the Trump mindset beautifully.

You mean you really did mean to say "Trump obviously didn't muslim invaders grasp that"?
Although I suspect cleaning up a typo wouldn't help the rest of it much anyway.

Brexit is and was not about "muslim invaders" as many Trumpistas including Himself seem to believe.

So if he's President, he'll get stupid after a long day. Well that sure makes me feel better.

Happy 4th Gov! Just back after a week's vacation.

Hope you had a good vacation!

Yesterday I went to see Purge: Election Year, and after I went to a July 4th Celebration party yesterday, and my GF got a bit inebriated (I had to drive home so I didn't).

Nothing has changed, I see.

Well, it's basically the same old DP, but there is this one new guy (SaliasWay I think his name is) who keeps posting completely incoherent nonsense in so many threads.

LOL.

No, I suppose that wouldn't make you feel better. However, the point remains.

Hate the guy, ok, but it's a bit over the top to suggest Trump isn't aware of the politics taking place there. Developers are likely aware of the politics first, before they attempt any development. That is just an operational fact.

I "hate" him? How can I hate someone I don't know?

Trump is an idiot and he has no more business in the Oval Office than Hillary Clinton does. If he can't handle a "long day" and gets stupid over ice cream, all that does is confirm what I've thought all along.

Ok, perhaps "hate" is too strong a word. Egads, perhaps I fell into the same bog as others who use the word all the time! Self correction is in order.

You have your opinion on his statement, and I have mine. To me, his mind was elsewhere when asked the question. I've been there, done that. To others, well, there is your interpretation.
