Most looters and vandals in NYC had their charges dropped or reduced, with few serving any jail time at all. Meanwhile, we must go after the Capitol protesters and throw the book at them and suffer the consequences of the full extent of the law.

False equivalency.

Why are you whining? Are you one of the people who stormed DC to hang Pence and put Trump back in office?

The Trump cult is really struggling with the fact that treason has consequences huh.

They've arrested maybe 500 capitol insurrectionists. There were thousands there. Cry harder.

Violent mob vs violent mob? Hmmmm...I will say the false equivalency comes to play in that the left's violent mobs are fairly common and systemic whereas the 6th was, well...was just 4 hrs on 1 day.
Nope. Attacking an iconic government building with the intent of disrupting a constitutional process and calling for the hanging of government representatives is not the same as looting/vandalizing private business. The shared trait of violence in both situations are not the same order of magnitude.

You mean literally setting up autonomous zones (insurrection), killing people and police, attacking a federal courthouse, trying to trap police inside a building and burn it down, trying to burn down the apartment complex the Portland mayor lives in, attacking ICE facilities, burning down a police station, ect, ect, ect?

Name one far-left violent mob whose mission was to plan and execute terrorist attacks on government property during a special legislative session. I will wait until you do it.

There is no reason to think for one second Democrats support mob violence. If they did, there would not be any attempt to investigate the January 6 Capitol terrorist attack.

Wanting to hang the vice president; believing the lies of an orange tinted moron to the point of trying to overturn an election in spite of no evidence that the election was "rigged" vs people protesting systemic racism and police brutality, please . Slice it and dice it any way you want to -- the OP was a false equivalency. That doesn't mean there wasn't a good point made about punishment of looters. When you engage in whatboutism, it's just another logical fallacy that doesn't disprove my assertion that the OP used a false equivalency.

the insurrectionists were insurrectionists.

Yeah one of those groups of people was trying to violently overturn a ****ing election and the other was not.

Those thug looters should be jailed just like those thug insurrectionists IMO.

We have jails for people like that.

Right. The other group was rioting, looting, destroying stuff, attacking people.

Doing normal riot stuff.

I truly can not understand how you can compare the two events. One was an attempt to derail the peaceful transfer of power.

LMAO
1.) whats this have to do with "the left"?
2.) what do looters and vandals have to do with terrorists storming our nation's capital in a failed coup/inssurection?

oooooops

welp, that's another tinfoil hat, dishonest, false narrative post that bites the dust
😂 🍿

"Name one far-left violent mob that happened on the 6th of January 2021 at the Capitol building." It's very telling that you have to so narrowly define something just to try and make your point.

The capitol attackers were doing, literally, all of those things. AND trying to overthrow our ****ing government.

Where do you rank burning down a gov building while people are trapped inside of it on your scale?

It's very telling that you can't ****ing read because that's not what he said.

Why does it have to be during a special legislative session? Is there a reason you asking a question that specific?

False equivalency.
X1000

its pure insanity and dishonesty to equate the two

with that said, i don't know the ins and outs of these cases, the article doesn't say but those people should be charged if crimes were actually committed and where it makes sense for the DA to pursue . . but they are not equal by any rational honest train of thought.

This is probably the behavior that chafes by butt the most. This incessant labeling that turns words into weapons and creates stereotypes that impede critical thinking and logical discussion. Far right, left wing, democrat, republican...all of those labels have become so tainted by stereotyping that reactions to discussions become based on the labels used rather than the content of the discourse.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed what he is trying to do, lol

You don't understand why certification of an election is important context?
