Who else besides Jehovah God can know in advance, with such accuracy, of future events? No one...

Historical Accuracy

One of the strongest proofs for the Bible’s origin is its historical accuracy. Take, for example, Ezekiel 29, a prophecy recorded in approximately 597 BC against the nation of Egypt:

“It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations. I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations” (Eze. 29:15).

You may remember Egypt as one of the world’s first civilizations. It reached its zenith of power during the days of the Pharaohs. This mighty country led the world in military strength, architectural advancements, science, and medicine. We get a glimpse of its power in the biblical account of the exodus of the Israelites in the book of Exodus.

The beginning of the end came, however, when God drowned the Egyptian army as they pursued the Israelites to enslave them. It was downhill from there. Alexander the Great conquered Egypt in 332 BC, then Cleopatra’s death ended its nominal independence. It became just one of the many provinces of the Roman Empire. When the modern Republic of Egypt was founded in 1953, it marked the first time in 2,300 years that Egypt was fully independent.

Now, after more than 2,500 years, Ezekiel’s prophecy still holds true. Egypt is still “the lowliest of kingdoms,” has never “exalted itself above other nations,” and “will never again rule over the nations.”

This example is one of thousands that shows the Bible’s historical accuracy. It gives us one more reason to believe. I’m convinced God will never remove all our doubts, because it’s faith that pleases him. He has, however, provided ample evidence to strengthen and encourage us to believe.

If he's able to see catastrophes and suffering in advance, but is unwilling to do anything to prevent it, then it really doesn't matter to any of us what he does or doesn't know.

He could either heal children with brain cancer, or just not have invented it in the first place, but instead he sits there and watches many of them suffer and die. **** him and his lack of empathy.

You only see the very small picture...got it...

I'm telling you that I'm upset god is sitting on his lazy ass watching children die of cancer, which he could easily help but just doesn't, and you tell me I've got a small picture. If human lives and their suffering is below you, then damn your beliefs.

Yes, it is the small picture...mankind was condemned to death when Adam and Eve disobeyed...that major problem has to be remedied 1st...otherwise, it'll be just like in the days of Jesus when Lazarus was resurrected...he still had to face death again eventually...only God's kingdom can bring about lasting changes for anyone...

God created cancer and is watching children die of it because of the actions of people thousands of years ago. This guy sounds like an immoral asshole.

Divine justice is beyond your small minded comprehension...got it...

Is this like the false prophecy from the Bible claiming Tyre would never be rebuilt, yet it was rebuilt and people live there today?

We don’t even have to back as far as the Mameluks. The supposed “prophecy” that a Egypt would never rule over other nations is utterly false. The Kingdom of Egypt just a century ago ruled over other nations, most notably Sudan.

Saladin and the Abbasid Caliphate was another Egyptian empire that ruled over other nations. This whole claim is just totally wrong.

Sorry Elora, your Bible has false claims in it.

The Books are cryptic, sketchy prophetic ramblings that can be interpreted to mean many things.

That the prophets could see across the centuries does not require God. Is not proof of God.

Forget “cryptic”. In this case, the “prophet” was just flat wrong.

What? You means claims like the Great Flood or Adam & Eve are false? Say it ain't so! ;)

What's next? Are you going to say the 10 Plagues of Egypt [article coming soon] is also false? Lol

You don’t even have to go to those.

The prophecy regarding Egypt is simply false. Egypt was a major world power multiple times and ruled other nations multiple times after the prophecy claiming it would never be a world power and would never rule over other nations again.

Similarly in the Bible, when the city of Tyre is destroyed, there’s a prophecy where “God tells” the prophet that Tyre would never be rebuilt and it would be abandoned forever.

Not only was Tyre rebuilt, it’s still inhabited today.

The prophets actually saw pretty well across time, they can identify cycles and their nature, but just what exactly will manifest is unknown.

The prophet was right, it is you who are wrong...Egypt continued under Persian rule until the conquest by Alexander the Great in 332 BCE, supposedly liberating Egypt from the Persian yoke but ending for all time the rule by native Pharaohs, thus never again being the great nation it once was...Egypt had indeed become “a lowly kingdom" just as Ezekiel prophesized...

There were multiple in history after that false prophecy that Egypt was a world power and ruled over other nations. That’s a historical fact.

Of course, you will lie and never acknowledge it because with your idiotic fundamentalist literalist bullshit, just poking one tiny hole in the Bible will make the whole thing fall apart like a house of cards.

You should study up on your ancient history...

Your dear jehovah god knows the future because it created the future. Preordained, no free will, although you keep insisting there's free will you also keep posting evidence why it doesn't exist.

And after them, more Egyptian states came into existence, and those states were world powers and ruled over other nations. Your position is like claiming Israel isn’t Jewish because it isn’t the exact same state as the ancient Kingdom of Israel
