Not sure they are going to get much out of that. If eventually there is an actual Prosecution the Prosecutor can bring the Congresswoman as a witness if he chooses and the statement in the record here won't mean anything.

The DEM's needed something to turn the tide and this is not it though hard to imagine the majority of the viewing audience thinks Trump should be acquitted. They should have leaned on the GOP at least a little harder. They might have toppled. As usual, the DEM's toppled, another premature ejaculation. It is in the DEM's DNA just as power madness is in the GOP's DNA.

I disagree I was looking forward to weeks of testimony and seeing the evidence come out day after day.

There is a very good chance tbis will be tbe last impeachment I get to witness.

As I have stated before I do not have a life, and I get to watch it all from the comfort of my couch with my dog on my lap and a beer in my hand.

I may have a different opinion if I had to wear a tie through it all...

Totally disagree. They knew darn well there was nothing that was going to turn the tide. However, this is now in the public record and you can be darn sure will be used against Trumpster Senators in 2022. Also think it cements Murkowski, Collins and Romney's ( to a lesser extent) votes to convict.

I suspect they had Murkowski and Romney already. Might get Cassidy to their side. Collins is like jello. There is no cementing Collins. You never really know where she is going.

Might be tough sledding for McCarthy's House strategy in 2022 based on his involvement here. But he has hung his future entirely on Donnie Boy and there is no going back before 2022 now. Not sure this particular proceeding will effect Senate races that much. The general overarching mess that the GOP has become will likely be more of an impact in 2022 Senate races than the particulars of this Impeachment will be. Trying to drive the discussions between two House Members down the throats of people in Senate races sounds like a bit of a stretch to me. The overarching mess that is now the GOP sounds like a much easier argument to make.

I think the two are intertwined, the GOP mess and this Impeachment trial. 20 plus GOP Senators are up for re-election in 2022, remmebering that their elections are State wide rather than small Congressional districts, how they vote today will be a huge issue in their elections. Moderate Republicans are rejecting Trumpism in significant numbers, the lack of courage on the part of these Senators will not be ignored by those moderates.
 
Got Burr and Cassidy and Collins so far. Burr finds some soul as he exits the Senate.

No. It's simply watching who here (and in the real world) refuses to hold a politician accountable for inciting an insurrection (where a cop died) against thre USA.

Hell, it's not any different than what young people are doing when evaluating their grandparents/ parents/ relatives/ friends/ etc.

I am not for any riot in the US, that is false. its not my fault your leaders failed to find any actual evidence to show that Trump incited a riot, he has been acquitted , so that point of yours has been proven to be disinformation as well.

We all knew the Beta Republican politicians were going to fall in line and protect your boy. That doesn't change the fact that he incited an insurrection against our own country. Mitch McConnell even admitted it.

I do know that at least 20 GOP Senators are up for re-election in 2022 vs something like 12 Dems. Of course much depends on how ruby red the GOP States are but in my view this impeachment trial, and the events leading to it, have weakened the GOP brand.
 
And your opinion still doesn't matter.
