Yang: Climate Change May Require Elimination of Car Ownership

I heard on the radio that the car manufactures of Europe will, after 2025, not be making any car for less than £25,000. This is due to the cost of electric cars not justifying any price below that.

You consistently ignore reality because you wish it was something else. This subforum and CT are effectively devoted almost entirely to that concept.

The Tesla model S has a top speed of 150 miles per hour and can go 370 miles between recharges. Problem is that it costs $75,000, while the average new car costs about $36,000. Electric cars are improving dramatically every year and eventually they will be equivalent or better than gas powered. Even today, the Tesla model 3 costs about $39,500, has a top speed of 140 miles, and can last 240 miles without recharge. We are seeing a lot of competitors to Tesla emerge that deliver equivalent cars and might even push them out of business. The big car companies are already making some great electric cars, and when they go all in, we are going to see some big advances in electric cars.

Self-driving cars will reduce some of the traffic problems. They will be smart so many of them will carpool people for lower prices. This will reduce the number of cars on the road. Also, many traffic problems are exasperated by the human behavior of drivers on the road. Self-driving cars will be optimized to drive in a way that minimize traffic, and find routes that are the fastest. They will almost never have accidents which will prevent a lot of traffic.

Yeah, like Beto won't take our guns right?

Guess you don't understand the difference b/t what Beto said vs what Yang said.

Might and Definitely aren't the same things....
