reference to me being an alleged "hater".

As the story goes, the scorpion got caught on a rock while the river was rising. Just before the rock became completely submerged, a frog came by and said to the scorpion, "Hop on my back, I'll take you over to the side!" Halfway across, the scorpion stings the frog.
